Ashlyn was in Costa Rica volunteering at an eco-lodge when Grevin came through with a group (he was working as a tour guide at the time). There were the typical "Hi my name is..." and on Grevins third trip to the hotel Ashlyn finally worked up the courage to ask Grevin out to dinner. After spending 5 hours sitting on a bridge talking into the wee hours of the night we both knew that this was something special. Our relationship continued through Ashlyn's departure back to the US in Dec of 2010. After 2 failed travel visa attempts we finally decided to give the fiance visa a go. Grevin offically proposed with roses candles (the whole 9 yards) on May 5th 2011 and Ashlyn of course said YES!!!
Congrats on your visa! I"m glad things went well for you. Our interview is coming up in San Jose, too. I'm curious how long the embassy told you you'd need to wait to pick up the visa? (trying to guesstimate travel plans since I'll be flying down for the interview with my fiance)
