Thank you @charmander!! Can't wait to see my timeline red

Hi. Quick update. I've been waiting since last Monday to receive my oath letter. But we've been having some problems with getting our mail recently, so today I called USCIS and spoke with a tier 2 agent to get my oath date.
My oath ceremony is scheduled for September 15th at 8:30am. Yay!!
Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to all of you who are done!?
-
So, remember how, like 3 weeks ago I was really excited about getting the text for my oath ceremony being scheduled?! It was the text telling me that my oath ceremony was IN LINE to be scheduled and I misread it. Ugh!
Anyway, tonight I got the text that my oath ceremony has been scheduled, for real! I'll update once I know the date.

Just got a text message that my oath ceremony was scheduled!! Will update when I receive the letter in the mail. So close to the end...
-
Thanks @KASH2011, @CaramelSwirl and @kris_hetfield!
Wish I could have had a same day oath ceremony - it's so anti-climactic. We put all that energy into getting ready for the interview and then we have to wait for 4-6 weeks for that oath letter...
The good news is that I have until October to register to vote in NY state

Hi everyone. Had my interview yesterday and I have been "recommended for approval" which means I passed, right?!
It was scheduled for 12pm. Got there around 11:25am and was called in at 12:05. The interview process was easier than I imagined. My interviewer was really nice and the interview went pretty quickly. Don't remember the questions. At the end he said that I should get the oath notice in 4 to 6 weeks because NYC is really busy. I was out of the building by 12:20.
Good luck to everyone still in line and congrats to those who are done!!

Good news!
I was off by 1 day... so close!
Thanks Jimmy! I know, your prediction was great!! And like @Charmander said, considering July 4th, it is exactly 5 weeks!
-
Thanks @KASH2011 and @Charmander

Can someone please update for me? Thanks! Received my interview letter in the mail (Sat 06/25). Interview scheduled for Tuesday, July 26th. It worked out, thank goodness - I get back from my trip on July 19th.
Congrats to everyone who has already had their interviews and oath ceremonies!
-
Recently, USCIS has been almost always scheduling the interview for 5 weeks (usually to the day) after the "interview scheduled" update.
So since your update was Monday 6/20, you can expect an interview on Monday 7/25 (plus or minus a few days depending on how busy the office is).
Thanks! I hope so - I get back on the 18th/19th so that would be perfect! I guess I'll be studying on the plane though
Thanks guys! This really helps.
I've taken the executive (!) decision to go ahead with my trip and try my luck at rescheduling my interview.
Fingers crossed ..
Good luck! Let us know how it works out.

Please update. Got the text/email today that my interview has been scheduled. Yay! Now we wait for that letter...
I'm actually traveling next week for a few weeks and am really hoping that my interview is scheduled for after I get back.
In early May, I tried to have my case expedited because I knew I would be traveling. Nothing happened! They didn't even look into my case. I called several times, spoke to Tier 2 agents. After 3 weeks, they closed my inquiry without even doing anything. Finally, I went into the NYC office to ask if I could reschedule my interview and they said that once you have the letter with the interview date, you can go to your field office and request a reschedule. If you can't get an infopass, you can usually go in and talk to the agent at the information desk, who can refer you to a supervisor on duty. It may take 2-3 months before you get another interview date. The officer I spoke to was pretty nice and said that it is possible but that they would prefer that you didn't reschedule.
@JGD108 - hope this helps!
-
Thanks GandL! It was a tier 1 that did it for me. They process the requests in only one day; just make sure you fax/email evidences if they weren't included in the app. Good luck
Thanks for the info! I just found out that I have to travel overseas for work at the end of June, so if I don't get an interview notice soon I might try to have my application expedited. Thanks and congrats again!!
-
Congrats ro_vanou! How did you expedite your application? Did you call in and speak to a tier 2 agent or via infopass?
-
Please update. Received an email notification today - my case is in line for an interview! Eek!
Sending out good vibes for all our applications

Did my walk in biometrics this afternoon at the Brooklyn ASC. Went in at 1:30pm and was out of there at 2:10pm. Every person that I dealt with was friendly and professional. I think that it might be if you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, they're not as busy and don't mind taking walk ins.
-
Just received my biometrics notification in the mail. Scheduled for 04/14 but will try to walk in next week and let you know if I'm successful.

Just got the text message and email! On December 17, 2013, we ordered production of your new card.
Best Christmas present ever! Good luck to the rest of the August filers who are still waiting - it won't be long now.
Please update my info. When I get the letter, I'll let you guys know if it was approved by my local office or not.

Hello, I'm a July filer with some information to pass along to the August folks...
Looking at the pattern of approvals, there obviously is no computer-controlled scheduling or any other form of strict queue or regulatory process controlling the flow of cases within a given month. USCIS is stuck in the bad old days of manually processing paper files, and approval time is a crapshoot. This is true not only of the July 2013 approvals, but also the prior month's. There are original CSC people from June 3rd, June 13th (with EARLY BIO) and June 17th who are STILL waiting!!!
Looking at the June group's messages, the approval letters (and presumably the approval decisions as well) are coming from regional offices (the VA office for a WV applicant, the Atlanta office, etc.) rather from CSC. Unfortunately, the online system doesn't tell you whether your case has been sent to a regional office or not, so it's hard to track regional offices and their speed or lack thereof. In theory, it should be possible to assemble the territories of each regional office and infer their processing speed - if VJers start reporting the identity of their regional office along with their approval dates.
The June approvals are at 70% for CSC (including VSC transfers) and 50% for VSC. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/433684-i-751-june-2013-filers/page-37
Looking at the following month (July), they are at 25% approvals for CSC (11% approval rate for the VSC transfers) and 0% approvals for VSC. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/439351-i-751-july-2013-filers/page-29
Going back to the May filers, they are at 95% for CSC and 61% for VSC (multiple applicants from 4/30 and 5/1 are STILL waiting!). A non-RFE VSC case from 5/3 got approved on 10/1, and a non-RFE CSC case from 5/24 got approved on 10/10! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/427555-i-751-may-2013-filers/page-54
Going back to the April filers, they are at 73% for CSC and 69% for VSC (people from 3/29 and 4/1 are STILL waiting!) All the recently reported (October) approvals have been RFEs though, so maybe it's just a case of people not reporting their approvals to VJ. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422393-i-751-april-2013-filers/page-63
August filers - when you are approved, please state your location and the location of the regional office that sends you your approval letter along with your approval date!
Hey lvriesling,
This is really great info! Thanks for sharing!!

Successfully completed my biometrics at the Brooklyn ASC today. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The staff were all very friendly and joked around with everyone. It was so nice to have had a pleasant experience during this stressful process!
And now we wait... Good luck to all of us!!

Had my oath ceremony at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn this morning. My husband had to watch on a TV monitor from a different room because they don't allow guests in the courtroom with you. But it was fine. I'm a citizen! Please update my timeline!! Thank you all and good luck with everything ?
