My Passport was stamped with the temporary residency

Do you know long it takes to receive my green card through the mail? Will it be a temporary Green Card or the permanent one since we have been married more than a year ago?

The interview was very easy, was done by two officers but they asked some few questions and both of them were very nice.

No it was green. The cut the ticket in two and gave me a part of it anf told me to come p/u my passport on 10/06/11.

hello back for an update. Interview completed today 10/04/11.

Interview Completed and i was given a green ticket to come pick up my passport on Thursday 10/06/11. I believe i am the VISA is approved. Any idea????

Good morning all, thanks to the lord and thaanks to all of you an VJ. You have been a great help to me and to my husband Michael. The interview went very smoothly and i was given a Green Ticket to come pick up my passport on Thursday 10/06/11 at 2 PM.

DO YOU THINK THAT MY VISA IS APPROVED AND THERE IS ANOTHER PROCESS TO GO THROUGH? CAN I BUY MY TICKET?

Please all pray for us, my interview is for tomorrow 10/04/11 at 7:30 AM in Dakar Senegal. I have been here for a week and completed all medical exams. Will be at the embassy tomorrow at 6:AM. Hope things go well. My husband and i will be very greatfull and happy.

My wife received an email for her interview date for October 4th 2011. Can you please help prepare for the interview?

Also Will i receive any package from the NVC or do i just take copies of all documents submitted to the NVC.?

Her interview is the day before our first anniversary on October 5th 2011. I hope the Visa will be a nice present for the anniversary.

Please any advice is very helpful such as the kind of questions asked, the process, the fees to be paid ...

I would like to start this forum for those who are in the process for a IV petition for their spouse in Ghana to give updates ( waiting time after case completed at the NVC and notice of interview date, how long Each one of us have been waiting for the interview, tips for the interview, documents to renew or bring at the interview....) I believe this will help all of us in sharing our best practices

For example, my case was completed on july 7 2011. I was told to have my spouse renew the police certificate few days before her interview and to also come with an up to date tax returns.

All infos are welcomed by each one of us because it will help

Called the NVC and message advised that my case is completed on 07/12/11. Did not receive any email or notice from them. What is next? How long before interview date? My spouse is patiantly waiting in Ghana.

did you have specific instructions to send payment to the st louis address? people usually send payment with the AOS INVOICE included, to the address in the AOS Invoice.

yes i was advised to send it to the p.o box in St louis Mo. It is the same P.O. Box on the invoice.

Thanks Darnellfr all your help,imade the payment following the instructions on the AOS bill, but NVC said they never recved the payment. I recvd the checklist saying the are still waiting for the FEES to be paid. I just sent a money Order to the P.O box in St LOuis MO. Do you think i need to send copy of the pymt and the checklist to the NVC in NH or i will be ok?

if you utilized the online payment portal, then is not really any issue OTHER THAN NVC auto-email is wrong.

For clarity, call up NVC, get a human, ask about payment status and casefile status.

Darnell, i called the NVC, spoke to a lady, she said pymt not received, she gave a p.o. box where i can send the pymt. Do you think i need to send them a copy of the checklist and a copy of the money order or just send it to the P.o. box. This is the only thing missing on my documents

Need help on this situation:

I have sent pymt for the IV and also for the AOS processing fees. REceived a second checklist advising that the payment of the AOS processing fees still not received. Pymt was sent electronically through my Bank account. Can i send a payment by Money order to the P.O box and if i do, should i send something to the NVC to let them know payment has been sent by mail. Any help is very appreciated
