  1. I think as long as it's registered it will be accepted. Have supporting documents with you like your Baptismal Certificate just to be sure. Coz I know someone who had problems with her Birth Certificate so the Embassy asked for her Baptismal Certificate instead and they accepted it.

I had my Late registraton for my birth certificate, tinanong nila kung bakit late registration ako, sabi ko nman kasi hindi pinaparegister agad ng parents ko then the interviewer said,i see..yun lang..hindi nman nila hiningi yung baptismal ko..pero dadalhin mo nlang yung mga supporting documents just encase!

    • Be nice to the embassy staff.
    • Wear appropriate clothes. (Lol there was a USC who accompanied his fiance who wore a "Barong", we thought it looked funny but sweet. There was also a whole family who wore Barongs.)
    • Have your documents ready! A saw a guy (a fiance) who didn't have his DS forms and even made the Embassy staff look for it in his folders.)
    • Don't be bugged by the vendors outside the embassy.
    • If you can, bring an umbrella with you because it's been raining in Manila and you don't wanna get wet while waiting outside the building. (I'm not sure if umbrellas are allowed inside so have someone wait for you outside)
    • Don't bring any electronics(laptop, usb, cellphones), food and liquids. (Again have someone wait for you so you can leave your items to him/her. It's quite expensive to leave them to the vendors. They charge 150p)
    • Bring a coat or jacket if you have low cold tolerance coz it gets cold inside the embassy.
    • Memorize the dates. (Most frequent asked questions are When did you meet?, When was the first/last time you saw each other?, For how long have you been together?)

Thats all I could think off. Relax! The interview is very easy. I also told my fiance "Wow I just had my first American experience". Because they are very organized and professional unlike majority of the government establishments here in the PI where people are power tripping. :)

My interview was on 28th of july but it went well, i left at the hotel at 3:30 am, had my umbrella with me...i didn't bring to be my companion. No electronics,no foods but had a candy( don't bring many candies, the security guards wont allow you to bring all of them inside the embassy) they took some of my candies..huhuhuhu!!lolz! But the umbrella is okay inside the embassy (but of course take off your umbrella once you are about to entered at the embassy lol). Once you have your required documents are completed, you will be fine. Don't get any nervous, just relax!...the questioning are easy!...all you have to do is "BE PREPARED"!.

    GOODLUCK!

    PS.

Wear a jacket,it's cold inside the embassy..:)

    and wear a formal attire!

  6. Jadeleaf is from New Zealand.. He/She was just saying that's how it goes in their country. Why not make it a week before you interview date? Just to make sure the embassy will have it before your interview day. You've come this far, you don't want any delays for sure..

Thank you so much for the reply!..Ok,i will do my Medical a week before my Visa interview.

    God bless us all!

  7. Hi, I see what you mean, u dont have to write N/A on all space, just the first line row is enough for N/A or None, thats how I filled my i-129f.

    Hope this answers ur question...

    Goodluck..

I think, that's the answer of your question!..goodluck!..just don't worrying to much!..or maybe you're just too excited? lol

  8. Online? As far as I know you cannot pay it online not unless its for an immigrant visa (please correct me if Im wrong). Non-immigrant visa fee like K1 is payable only by peso at BPI. I've never heard of K1 paying visa application fee online.:unsure:

Oooopppsss!...sorry,i paid through BPI for nonimmigrant visa(k1) not online,i was meant that i have been scheduled through online!:bonk:

  9. the letter that your fiance received saying the petition was approved...thats what we called the NOA2 already..what do you mean your appointment has been scheduled july 28, 2011, did pay your visa fee already?..did you call the embassy for that july 28 appointment?,,,and if it is...they will send you an email with your appointment confirmation...you try to check your email...then have your medical already,,,you can use that NVC LETTER AND YOUR APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION for medical...

I already paid the application fee through online and yes i have that confirmation in my email for my appointment schedule..Thank you,i feel better now.. :bonk:

  10. I have a lot of confusions from NOA1,NOA2...of when they supposed to send it? I read some in this forum that the beneficiary they received the NOA2,i only have the eligible letter from the consular with the case number for my visa category. They sent it on May 18,2011 and i received it in a week later. I thought it is NOA2 but it is not.Until now i don't have that NOA2.I asked my petitioner about the NOA2 but then he didn't know. He got a letter to letting him know that the petition was approved. He's pretty busy with his job so i didn't bother him for that..So,how do we call the letter that he got?..Is it the NOA2? And my appointment has been scheduled on July 28,20011, Are they going to send me an appointment letter also?:help:

  11. The DS-156 form has been already updated...try to check it out!..It will expires on the date 06-30-2014.

    Goodluck!

Well, just follow the instructions of what they have written. I thought the DS-156 is only can be found as an online visa application form. Because i was gonna tell you that the DS-156 nonimmigrant application form has been already updated...!..

    Goodluck!

  12. Hello All,

I received packet 3 which contained the DS-156 forms. However, this particular form shows an expiry date of 09/30/2010. I know there is an updated version of this form on the website. But does anyone have any ideas if I should go ahead and use the one that was sent to me or just print off the new one off the website. I do have my reservations doing either one of them. If I use the expired form, I hope they will not come back to me telling me I have to go fill out the new one on the interview date. And if I choose to fill the new one, I hope they will not come back saying this is NOT what we sent to you. A little confused, Please any advise based on experience will help. By the way, the packet was from the Consulate's office in Lagos, Nigeria.

The DS-156 form has been already updated...try to check it out!..It will expires on the date 06-30-2014.

    Goodluck!

  13. Re you doing the K1 are you sure you are suppose to do the DS 160 this is what I found when I went to website

DS-160: Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (for all nonimmigrant categories except K applications)

DS-156: Nonimmigrant Visa Application (K category applications only)

I agree to that, U.S. Embassy have told me that the DS-156 are no longer acceptable, just use the DS-160 form but then when i went to that site it said :

DS-160: Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (for all nonimmigrant categories except K applications).

So,i only used the DS-156 form since it's only an applicable for the K category.

Good luck for both of us!
