Incorrect info - K1's marry a US citizen so they are eligible after 3 yrs of marriage and permanent residency to become a citizen.
I was under the impression a K1 enters as CPR and has to file for ROC, that's 2 years and then 3 years as LPR to become USC, so that's why I thought it was 5 years total.

3) What is the shortest amount of time I will have to wait in order to apply for and become a US citizen so I can release the petitioner and co-sponsor from this obligation? I hear five years and three years, so I'm not certain which one it is. If it helps, I am filing for a K1.
I'm pretty sure it's 5 years in your case.

Don't lie.
"He knows/remembers where they live at but keep forgetting where they are from so I told him u know do not even worry about it just tell them you do not know."
That's a good answer.

Sorry, I misread it.
My RFE was from NVC, like 3 months after they received my case.
edit: typo

K.. he said that without an address he cant get work.. I want to remind you that he is Belgium.. cause he was born there.. until he was a 1yr old. Has lived in the Netherlands since.. He says that he cant' get his social money cause he was out of the country to long.. ( over 6 months) He says that he can't open a bank account cause.. he brought some insurance that if he lost his job that it would cover it? But when he lost his job.. they didn't so now he owes 25.000 euros to a Bank there.. He wont tell me what bank... so he can't put a home in his name or get work or open a bank account.. something about that doesnt add up to me.
- Was he legally in Holland? if not, no wonder he couldn't get social security. Being out of the country for too long won't matter at all.
- It all sounds like he has no ID, which means no work/bank account.
- He says he can't work, but he owes a bank 'cos he lost his job, so he did work?
Lotsa halfass excuses if you ask me.

There's some dutchies here, so just ask away.
edit: closure is good, goodluck with it.

Buy whichever is cheaper or the best itinerary but yes, you must use the first leg of any round trip ticket.
thanks pushbrk for the confirmation.

Hi guys,
i was wondering if you have to have a return ticket when entering the USA on a IR1 visa?
I am asking 'cos pdx-ams-pdx is $300 cheaper than ams-pdx-ams.
Thanks.

I could be wrong, but to my understanding it's the current year that matters.
So, does he make enough as of now?
-
That was a quick wait then
-
you will want 2 noa-1's, so just wait for the 2nd.

5+105+74+10=204 days.
That's 194
I think you are missing the wait for the interview.
And it looks like they are catching up a bit.

I would get originals/certified copies for sure.

I just attached a list with a summary when the boxes were too small.

Thank you, I got the infopass appt scheduled in a week. I sent the withdraw papers. His name wasn't added to anything, so no worries there.
I applaud you for standing up for yourself, making a decision and act accordingly.

I wore everyday clothing in Holland in '03 for my K-1 interview.
edit: I also got approved
