  1. Hi well I'm in the same spot in this process as you are I received NVC email telling me everything was done just to wait for the interview and that was on April 7 2011 and my wife is still waiting for the interview to been scheduled my priority date was march 22 2011 already passed, I called Juarez consulate asking about the case they told me that they dindn't had scheduled an interview yet that I need to wait, then called NVC and told me that everything is OK about my case that I just need to wait for my turn that Juarez consulate is packed with visa applications so that's why it's taking so long that I must call them on July 18 to see if my wife's interview was scheduled in August. I was getting desperate because it was too much time waiting but after NVC told me that calm came back to me. So the only thing we can do is wait so don't worry just stay calm and everything is gonna be OK. Regards

They only schedule appointments on the second week of each month for the following month, so if you did not get an appointment by then, it means that you have to wait until the following month to see if you get schedule. So even if you call daily, until that second week comes, there is not much else to do.

  2. Hi Julio I saw your post and you know I´m in the same status as you are, I received an email biy the NVC on April 7 2011 telling me that all documents for my wife´s case were complete and that I just needed to wait for the interview, and today is June 22 and there´s no sign of an interview I called the NVC and they told me the same thing your case is complete wait approximately 8 weeks for an interview so I waited for 8 weeks and nothing appears right now it´s been like 10 weeks and I haven´t received nothing, I´m kind of getting desperate, today I called Juarez consulate to see what happened and they told me that I just need to wait because they don´t have assigned a date for the interview, and for me I think it´s been a long time of waiting I don´t know if in this time of the year they have a lot of cases or what´s happening. I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

Hi, I hope I can contribute here, there are two different appointments needed, at least for a CR1/IR1 visa, there is the one that the NVC will assign at the US consulate after case is closed at NVC, then there is another one that in Mexico's case you need to call the consulate and schedule your self, and this one is for the Bio-metrics (fingerprints). in our case IR-1 Visa we got case closed June 7th and got an interview date for July 14th. I need to mention that i got an electronic processing case, apparently all cases at CD Juarez embassy are now been handled electronically, i assume this has an impact in the timeline of everything.

    I hope this helps.

  3. That's what I thought, how ever if you see the below link at My linkunder they have a letter saying the following:

REQUIRED ACTION PRIOR TO YOUR INTERVIEW:

Starting April 1st. 2011, immigrant visa applicants are required to complete the following steps prior to attending your consular interview appointment:

    1. Complete the DS-260 form online. If you provided a DS-260 to NVC already, go to step 3.

    2. To complete the DS-260 you will need to retrieve the Invoice ID Number and each traveling applicant’s Beneficiary ID Number from the Notice to Applicant page of your appointment letter. Should your appointment letter not be available your Invoice ID and Beneficiary ID Numbers are also available on the Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Bill Invoice you or your petitioner received prior to paying your IV fees through the National Visa Center. If your petitioner no longer has the Fee Bill Invoice, they may contact the NVC to obtain the invoice ID number.

    3. Print the DS-260 form confirmation page

    4. Next, go to http://mexico.usvisa-info.com and follow the instructions to log in and to schedule an appointment at any

    5. At the same website, of the Applicant Service Centers (ASCs) in Mexico. Each applicant is required to appear in person at the ASC prior to the consular appointment date. At the ASC your fingerprints and photographs will be collected.

http://mexico.usvisa-info.com, select a DHL courier office location where you would like to receive your visa.

    6. If you have other questions regarding the immigrant visa process, please review the information on http://mexico.usvisa-info.com.

If your visa is issued, you must travel to the United States and apply for admission as a permanent resident within the visa’s validity period. Do not make any travel arrangements to move to the United States, dispose of property or give up your job until a visa has been issued to you. A consular officer can make a decision regarding your visa application only after your formal application and all documents have been reviewed and you have been personally interviewed by a consular officer.

  4. We have our interview appointment on July 14th, does anyone knows if IR-1 visa needs to schedule a biometric appointments before going to our interview appointment in CD Juarez?, the appointment letter does not states so, I have done a lot of research with different answers, so I'm wondering if anyone with a MEP case number and a IR-1 visa has gone to this process lately.

    Thanks.
