How long has it been since the first BIO was done? It might be that it is beyond what the USCIS considers the validity period for the first set.
Good luck,
Dave
Thx , Dave.
The first BIO I did long time ago back to July 2011, I'm having a waiver i751 case, which takes forever , finally got an interview last month, now a month later After interview i received the new appointment for the biometrics again .. I don't get it, hope its a good sign .. Really frustrated .. Been waiting for so long

it could be the FBI can not read them,so they need you have it done again.thats the way it seems me.did you have any cuts on your fingers or scars
No, I don't have any cuts or scars on my fingers . The first time seems fine without any problems when I get the Conditional one

Hi, everyone . It's been a month after my i751 interview . Today I received a mail from USCIS said : This is in reference to your pending application with US Citizenship and Immigration Services. The record shows the biometrics are needed. You are instructed to report any application support center listed below to complete a new set of fingerprints on 8/5/2013.
I have a question , why do they ask me to do the biometrics again ?
Thx

Hi vivian,
I was in the same boat as you and I also had a divorce waiver interview. I was also told between 30 and 60 days for the decision. I got the approval email after 26 days and the green card about 5 weeks after the interview.
I was in your shoes earlier so I know it's not gonna help much but I think you'll be fine. Just be patient and keep it cool. God bless.
Thank u very much , after I saw your post , now I feel much better . Now I will be only sitting and waiting , hope the good news will come soon just like u !

It's been 10 days after interview , still no answer from USCIS . I'm so worried , normally how long will get reply ?

Your marriage sounds kinda like mine, just that my marriage lasts 1 year and a half and my ex didn't involve in drug issue. The rest is pretty much the same and I also wrote a marriage summary to USCIS. I sent my package on 6/19/13 and they received on 6/20/13, still waiting on NOA. I believe that you will get approved. I'd prefer an interview to an RFE.
Good luck! Let us know if there is any updates
!
Thx , I think interview is better than RFE too , I hope the good news will coming soon , it's been too long . And I hope you good luck too , I will keep updating !

After reading through all your post, I'm pretty sure you will hear from USCIS soon that your application is approved. Sit tight and wait. Good news should be on its way
You have strong document, case and good interview. I don't think you need to worry about anything.
Good Luck
Thank u very much , I hope that will come true . Now the only thing I can do is just wait , I will update if I get any more information from USCIS. Thx

He asked about how we met , how long we know each other before we got married ,have I ever met his family before , have he ever met my family before , ( answer is yes , I have a lot relatives here they are all US citizens ) also he went to china with me to meet my family .
He also asked , when we married , what do I do ? I answered I was a student .
Then officer asked , who support me go to school , I answered my family , before and after marriage it's all my family .he asked what did my family do for living .
And then asked about whether my family support my marriage after I got married , I answered , NO, after I got married , my ex is the only one support the family , since I was still a student . My ex had a good job makes good money , which all shows in his pay checks .
One thing officer concerned about is have we ever purchase anything together , I answered yes , all the furniture a everything after we moved together we bought together , but we didn't pay much attention to keep the receipt .
Why my case took so long , I think only reason is the background check , and that's also the reason I got divorced . My ex was arrest for drug issue, after I got divorced I moved from east coast to west coast , so I change the address , the whole case have to transfer from east coast to west coast .
The total interview took about an hour , but it wasn't a stressed out conversation , the other saying it was a pretty casual conversation feel like talking to a new friend about my past story .
At the end , the officer didnt take my expired GC away , he told me I can get an info pass to get a stamp to travel , he need to review my case , he need a little more time , the longest I should be waiting about 60 days .
Btw, I get all cleared answer , whatever he asked me , only thing l forgot is how many documents total I sent in . Cuz been too long
Do your guys think I will get approved or denied ? I'm so worried its been so long , btw we were married when I still kinda young I was 23 he was 27 .

1. We were married about 2 years and half , living together about 3 years .
2. Evidence of I751: joint bank account , bills of utilities , apartment lease , joint tax return , pics , letters to each other , tickets showing go vocation together , 3 mutual friends are US citizens's statements to show our relationship . I think that's about it , cuz my case took about 2 years to interview I almost forgot .
3. His parents not at wedding cuz , they are not in the states that time , but we had pic for spending thanks giving and Christmas time together , also we have the gifts and postcards from his parents .
4. I'm Asian and he is white , he is 4 years older than me .
5. Yes, I did provide the letter to explain why we end up divorce .
Also the the interview this morning , from the way I answered his questions , he asked me are your guys still friends , I said yes , and told him we still contact once a while and he got remarried again . I don't know that's good or not
So any advice about my case ?

I went to I751 waiver interview today in a local field office, the officer was nice and friendly , go through my personal information and took a lot notes , he asked me a lot questions like how we met , have I ever met his parents before , how we end up divorce ... A lot questions , seems like I all answer pretty well, only thing we don't have together is property , cuz we don't have anything big like cars anything . After that he took a copy of my Id , and told me the decision will be mail to me in 60 days , cuz he need some time to review my case , but also as a conditional green card holder I can have all the benefit just like the permenate resident . He told me if I want to travel I can go online and make an info pass to get a stamp on my passport .
As I read online , the officer most time took the expired green card away , but he didn't take mine , so I can't tell any decision from him , I'm so nervous just sit and wait ..
Is there anyone get approved just by the interview ? Normally how long the decision gonna mail to u ? 2 months seems like pretty long , anyone didn't get decision beyond 60 days ?

Hi,
When did you let them know about your divorce?
Did you send them a letter and explaine why you got divorce?
When I filed my i751 , I sent the divorce decree together , yes I explained why I get divorced. I been reading a lot waiver cases online , I think my case is kinda last too long , other case much faster than mine , that's why I'm kinda worried

Hi, everyone I'm one of the i751 divorce waiver applicant, it's been a long time finally I got the reply for USCIS and schedule for an interview on 6/25/2013.
The following is my application time :
VJName...............Date of I-751......NOA1 Date......Biometrics
VIVIAN678............06/08/11...........06/13/11.......07/25/11
I applied in Vermont service center , but I moved to California febuary 2012, so I changed my address online , finally after two years waiting , I got my first mail from USCIS after biometrics , I'm very excited but also worried .
My question :
1, is it normal to wait that long for an interview , anyone else here have the same experience here ?
2, what kinda questions I should prepared for the interview ? I divorce for about 2 years now , be honest , if I got questioned some details about my ex-husband I might forgot already . Anything sepefic I need to prepared for ?
3,will I get a decision right after the interview just like the first interview of conditional permanent resident?
I'm very worried , since I been waiting for so long , after my conditional green card expired , even I got the i551 stamp on my passport I still worried that I didn't go out of country after that . I really hope this coming interview will go well ,so any reply will be appreciated .
Thx

Gongrats everybody who get approval already . After I done my bio on 7/25/2011 , I haven't receive anything from Vermont , and nothing updated on the website too . I m thinking maybe I should call . But a lot people apply at Vermont haven't get decision yet , I never got any Rfe or anything , I'm scared now . And that 1 year extension letter gonna expire soon , if it's expired and I haven't get a decision yet , what shall I do ? And am I still legal ?

thanks for your comments, my lawyer is an immigration attorney with at least 10 years experiencs. i trust her cuz my friends introduce her to me, their cases are kinda complicated too, she charges a lot , but whenever i ask her if worst to worst, they deny my i-751, what gonna happen, she never replied me directly. she just said why u always think that way, if u have no confident in yourself, who else can help you. i'm kinda disppointed about her reply but i think most lawyers just like that.
do u think my case is looking good by your guys experience? i m waiting for final divorce decree, but i think wont be a problem. Even RFE asking for that, i think 3 months will be enough for me.
other than that, do you think i lack anything else for USCIS, to be a reason for them to deny my case?
thx

my case is kinda complicated. We prepared i-751 and all the evidence together before my husband went on a business trip, after he came back, i found out he changed a lot, he didnt pick up my phone calls and ignored me (we lived seperated around March, 2011, since too many problems between us, but we are still friends and he promised me he will help me to file i-751 and go to interview with me) after he came back, his attitude is totally different, i found something wired, i keep calling him after a week he finally pick up my phone calls and told me he want to divorce with me couldnt help me anymore, he is dating with a girl for a while and now they are decide to getting married. i hired a lawyer , and i have all evidence that our marriage is in good faith,
.joint account, joint tax papers, medical insurance,
.same address on both driver's licenses
.lease agreements
.family memebers and freidns certified about our marriage is real
.all bills, (cell phone, home phone, cable etc) under both names
.a lot pics
i showed everything to my lawyer and told her the whole story, my lawyer said if this case, i can try to submit all the document with i-751 (with both names sign on ), may be there is no interview i can get approved. But if there is an interview, he wont show up , then i have to tell them we are filing divore papers, and i have to file i-751 waive again.
Be honest our relationship wasnt that good, then i told my lawyer, my husband is a drug addicted person and he always doubt me staying with other guys, and i had the evidence when we are still married, he having sex with other girls..also i had a letter that he wrote to me that he commit everything he did to prove everything i said is real. he always change his mood, once nice to me, once treat me like ######. This two years, i feel like suffering, he always said get divorce then u go back to china. i feel horrible, but 2 years past, it was time to file the document, he was very nice before he left for the trip, when he came back he know i dont have much time left for filing my document, (about 25 days left) he told me he want to divorce me. I felt he is very bad, so i decide to divorce him and file the i-751 by myself. we both sign on the divorce paper then my lawyer sent everything on 6/8/11
6/8/11 sent i-751
6/11/11 delivered to vermont
6/13/11 date on NOA
6/18/11 received NOA
Is there anyone have similar case like me? since i havent recieve the final divorce paper yet, will uscis ask me wait for that, then deal with my case? my lawyer said my case looking good, ask me dont worry about it, but i still worried, today i receiced the one year extention, am i able to go out of country since i divorced, does it mean my green card alread terminated?
thx for reading, any info i will be appreciated.
