hello everybody!

haven't been here in very long, and have a new name, i guess matching more my "new" situation. long story as short as i can. i am a permanent resident, married to a us citizen, came here on k3, then adjusted status. marriage was bad from the beginning but kept on trying and hoping and praying. Out of the marriage came out a wonderful child. the marriage was very abusive in many ways and culminated with an order for protection that i got and left the house with our child. the order was shortly suspended - both parties consent - and "replaced" by a temporary order. the US citizen - spouse - has been in voluntary unemployment; we are now going through a nasty custody battle. i have temporary physical custody and we share legal custody. for the last 2 years, the US citizen has not paid me one cent for child support or for my support. as i was the only one working at the time i left, i was actually forced to keep paying for his medical insurance.

i am extremely unhappy with this situation for many reasons and often thought that he did sign an affidavit of support when bringing me to the states but has actually NEVER supported me.

I am employed and self-sufficient financially.

is there anything you think i could do so that he would be held accountable for NOT supporting me at all during all this time?

i would appreciate any ideas / input / examples you would have

When I was waiting for I-130 approval, I checked daily.

For the I-751, I have it set up to email me when approval happens, not that I trust them to send the email when it does, but I'd say in the past over eleven months of waiting, I've checked 3 times in total. I don't look for "touches".

I use to have the LIN number memorized when it was the I-130, but not now. I don't know if I can properly answer your poll but I'm closest to the last answer, without the Penthouse, etc...lol

There is the master I-751 list for all service centers, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=1744785, but there is no individual list for NSC-CSC transfers. Why don't you start one?

The I-751 application is changed by USCIS to a CR-189 for internal processing purposes. The number that is on the back of your check, is the I-751 number. It doesn't work to look up anything on line. The CR-189 number will be the case status number that you will receive when you receive your biometrics appointment letter. That one will allow you to register your case on line for e-mail notification as well as allow you to see the up-to-date status. You may want to look at others who have been transferred to California to see how soon they received their biometrics. California is currently the FASTEST Service Center for getting I-751 applications processed so that is good news. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I DID GET A NUMBER ON THE NOA1 NOT ON THE BACK OF MY CHECK ... IT IS THE LETTER OF EXTENSION AND IS CALLED NOA. THE NUMBER STARTS WITH WAC ... ISNT THIS THE CORRECT NUMBER?

You have not sent in the I-751 yet, so you do not have any pending cases, your last pending case was adjustment of status or immigrant visa petition a few years ago.

Just put your new address on form I-751.

NOTE: Your US Citizen spouse must also file I-865, because sponsors too must report change of address. Filing AR-11 is only half of the requirement for a married couple.

I'm sorry to bother you, but you seem to know the ropes so I thought I would ask...

My husband and I have also moved and are sending in forms AR-11 and I-865. We moved last November and are very late in sending in our forms.

We sent them to the addresses on the forms, but I also read we should send a copy anywhere that has a file on our case.

I suppose all that means is to my local service center (where i filed originally).

Should that do the trick? I just want to make sure our whereabouts are very clear and we don't miss any important notices or anything that could jeapordize the removal of conditions next year.

If you don't have a pending case/file, then no need to send a change of address form to your local office.

Hi all, we moved last april and I did file an AR-11 ... but my husband did not file the I-865. For some reason, we had no idea .... we had no pending file at the time and will file I-751 shortly ... I looked for the copy of the AR-11, i was absolutely certain I had it but can;t find it ... anyone had this situation? what to expect? Thanks a lot for your help!

Unbelievable! I would think that is sufficient evidence.

Similarities that I have seen in other previous RFE posts:

--not enough evidence that spans the entirety of the marriage

--not enough evidence that shows co-mingling of assets and liabilities

The OP's list has both of these problems, so I am not surprised.

I agree. I was lucky and thank the fact that read VisaJourney before submitting our package. Although we had the documention to support co-mingling of assets and liabilities through-out the marriage, I most likely would have submitted our latest bank statements and tax returns and figured it was enough and presumed since it wad a continuation of what we files for AOS. Following the advice here I realized how wrong that was (whew).

Ok, I have a question ... most of us have come to the US a while - months if not longer than that after gettng married. So i assume the evidence they would refer to is from the time you actually started living together as husband and wife here in the right? I do not think we should provide evidence propr to that ... Can one of your in-laws (my mother in-law) be one of the submitants of the affidavit?

The criteria are that the person executing the affidavit (1) has known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and (2) has personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship.

Not sure what you're talking about re: the header on the I-751, but the I-751 itself does not have to be notarized.

Your mother-in-law can submit an affidavit. Aside from the criteria listed above, the instructions only require that the affiant be a person. (Insert mother-in-law joke here.)

On the form, it says I need to notify of a change of address WITHIN 10 days of moving!!! The officer we have met when I got approved for conditional permanent residence said we had 30 days ... so I did not worry. Am I on the correct form here? Is there another form I need to fill in? Please let me know, if so, and also if there is anything else I should do to notify them we have changed our address.

Just wanted to let you know, guys, that as of "today, May 23, 2006, you (meaningI) are a permanent resident of the US" ... that was what the USCIS officer tols us at our AOS interview yesterday. Conditional, of course and lifting up of conditions in 2 years.

I have the copy of the vaccination sheet from the time I had my medical back in Romania for my K3 visa.

Is this enough for the AOS interview or do I have to go back to an uscis surgeon here and get a new one?

Any of you had any problems woth the country of origin vaccination sheet?

The notice for appointment says we should bring at the interview:

"Birth certificates for all children of this marriage, and custody papers for your children and for your spouse's children not living with you".

My husband (USC) has 2 wonderful daughters from his previous marriage. Both are over 18 years old and not living with us. Do they still need custody papers????
