Wow, these last 3 months have not been easy, since my time in IST during holidays. I spent a week in IST w/ her in early march. That was awesome. But, the more the separation continues, the more we hurt. Anyway, her interview is next week. It's gonna almost a year from the date I asked her to marry me to the date I go to pick her up. Nothing else better extend our separation. Enough is ...

Which leads me to believe, arrival dates on these timelines are made up. Anyway, our light at the end of tunnel is shining. If we get her visa a few days after her interview (as is likely in Ankara), the K1 process would've taken 10 months. So, my recommendation, don't even start w/ K1, just directly go for a green card visa. This damn process takes about as long. And, you'd pay les...

We got her interview date: April 4, 2012. Email from Ankara was sent on a sunday. We have never received a piece of paper from Ankara. All their communication has been through email. There is no way to reach anybody in immigration visa section through phone. So, I don't know how people find out when their package arrives @ particular governmental department, throughout this proc...

Thx. I'm happy as well. Tried to wake up my fiancee @ 2:00am in morning last night (her time). She's a heavy sleeper didn't hear the phone.

Thanks for the uplifting comment. It helps to know other people are living through the same process. Am looking forward to the POE date. I'm great-full for skype. If you're looking for a cheap phone card to call a turkish cell phones ($.07/minute) look up enjoyprepaid.

2.5 months, no news. Oh, well, keep waiting. I was hoping to have her come over right after new years. Looking less likely with each passing day.
