update: my packet was sent to NVC on 01/18 and I've received a first letter from NVC on 02/17 so that's about one month just in case it might help. Wish everyone a luck!
-
From what I saw while reading through this entire thread yesterday, USCIS Potomac can take a month to actually MAIL your petition to NVC and then NVC can take another month to assign you a case number.
I see thank you so much for the reply. I should read through this thread today. Hope your case gets through soon!
-
For those who got approved (maybe July or August filers), have you received anything from NVC yet?
My case was received on August 31 at Texas and was transferred to Potomac and was approved on July 8th.
On the USCIS web, they say the case was sent to NVC on July 16. Haven't heard anything since then.
SORRY JANUARY NOT JULY.

My I-130 is has been finally approved from the Potomac. The filing date was August 31. Didn't receive any email or text like the other two time when they stated that they have received the paperwork and it's being transferred to Potomac (originally Texas Center). I just found it in the mailbox right now.

Almost 5 months here also.

Hi all,
my filing office was Texas Center and receipt notice was August 30 and was transferred
to Potomac office on November 12 and nothing from then.Still waiting.
-
Just like some people here, I just received a text and an email from uscis that my case was updated "Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production" when I received GC on 01/26/2012. Hope everyone gets their gc soon
-
We finally received our GC in mail today.
after receiving approval letter from uscis on 01/09/2012, we were checking our mailbox everyday desperately.
regarding the emails and texts that we've received,
01/24/2012 we received an email and text saying that we were approved (not too surprised after receiving a letter via mail).
01/25/2012 we recevied an email and text saying card was produced and the letter containing GC was picked up by usps on 01/24/2012.
same day, another email and text that's exactly same as the first ones.
01/26/2012 GC received.
Thank you guys for great informations here and hope everyone gets their GC in their hands.
Have a nice day!

It came within a priority envelope so it is slightly bigger than the regular size envelope. Mine arrived two days after the production email.
Hope this helps
Thanks for a reply
Ours came in a squarish shaped flat rate envelop. Not your traditional business envelop they normally use but will fit in any postal box. You will get it soon. They seem to be pretty fast.
I see thank you!
I know a person who was waiting for his green card for a month. He was approved at the end of November and got the green card after Christmas.
Yeah I guess we'll just have to wait till the 60 days waiting period that they gave us thanks
-
still no gc mail in my mail box as of today.
I have a question
does gc come in a regular size envelop just like other mails that came previously, or does it come in a big size envelop?
hope to receive soon
good luck to others still are waiting
-
Hi, guys. We received our approval letter on the 9th of this month.
Approval date was 01/05/2012.
I was going to post this when we actually received the GC in the mail but to see and let others know the time beween our approval letter and the GC mail, I'm writing this down.
Congratulations on those who were approved and hope other people who are still waiting gets their approval letter soon enough
I'll let you know when we received the GC.

Well im hoping that VSC are processing May now...by the looks of my post and J&N79's post...if they are saying we cant put in a service request unless they are in May...and then when i called, i could actually make a request...so this meas they are processing May?
Anyhoo, i got the standard reply from USCIS after making my service request ...email says to wait within 60 days of the letter for a result...let's see !! At least the end is somewhat in sight!? Fingers crossed!
our'####### 6 months on last Friday I think
we hope to receive any type of mail from VSC by end of this year but we'll see..
hang in there

I looked at the processing time this morning and they are currently working on I-751's from Februaury 2011!
thanks for the info

when i filed the 1-751, it took us 4 months then approved.then ofcourse if you don't have a RFE or any problems with your back round checks you should take between 4 and 5 months, register online to check status online uscis,
wow it didn't take so long for your case
i did register online at uscis and have put every case number for an update since starting with K1 visa.
Thanks.

Hi, is there anyone who filed their I-751 at the Vermont Center in 2011?
This is my wife's timeline for her I-751.
05 25 2011 File arrived at VSC
06 02 2011 Receipt arrived.
06 16 2011 Fingerprint appointment letter arrived.
06 30 2011 Fingerprint process done.
and after that we haven't heard anything.
It does say on the uscis web that Vermont’s timeline for I-751 is 6 months (we still got one month left),
and did hear that the I-751 is the least priority from their work.
but I'm just wondering how long it did take for other I-751 filers.
Please share your experience. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

rocks// thanks
two months is a long waiting period of time
good luck to you

Thanks for a reply
I guess we'll give it a month and try to call USCIS
Thanks again,

Hello VJs'
I have a question regarding my I-751 application.
Me and my husband sent our I-751 packet on May 24 and received a receipt from the Vermont service center on June 02
(On the receipt the date is 05/25/2011).
It has been a week and we are now waiting for the ASC appointment notice.
Does anyone know how long it takes this to arrive approximately?
I've done some research on this matter and other people seemed to receive their documents earlier than us
the date on the receipt is 05/25/2011. Should I give about a month for the ASC appointment notice to arrive and if it doesn't arrive until end of June 2011, should I contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center?
They have lost my packet in whole and the letter was missing one time when we filed temporary green card and it worries me.
Thank you everyone.
Have a nice day.

At first,Texas received it on 08/31.
Transferred to Potomac in mid November and got approved on 01/08.
Potomac sent the packet to NVC on 01/18 so it took about month after being approved.
I've just selected an agent (myself) and waiting another 2 weeks for NVC to send me the payment step.
Hope it helps!
