  1. Hello Guys.

This question am asking on behalf of a friend. so here is his story.

He got married to a US Citizen and was able to get his permanent residency the marriage didn't work out and they got divorced last year. He got his permanent residency 2008 and was able to get his US Citizenship. So this year he met a woman and he wants to get married. However there is this section on the 1-130 that he needs clarification on

" WHO MAY NOT FILE FORM I-130

    5. A husband or wife if you gained lawful permanent resident status by virtue of prior marriage to a US Citizen or lawful permanent resident unless

    A. A period of five years has elapsed since becoming a permanent resident

    B. You can establish by a clear and convincing evidence that the prior marriage through which you gained immigrant status was not entered not for purpose of evading any provision of the immigration law

    C. Marriage terminated by the death of former spouse."

So we want to know what he has to provide to USCIS for B.

    Any help would be great

  2. So my husband was approved for his visa and should be coming into the country shortly in aprox a week... so yayyy for that

So I just moved like a couple of days ago. I was wondering if he could put our new address when he comes in at the port of entry? If not what would we need to do to put in the new address

    Thank-You

  3. Hello

I have a friend that wants to file for his child .. The child is a baby.. She wasn't born in the states however my friend is a US citizen.. Does he need to do I130 or does he need to do a counselor report of birth abroad. My friend is filing separately for the spouse using I130 and was wondering if they have to fill one out for the baby.. If so for NVC process how will he sign the choice of agent form and visa application form for the child.

  4. You don't have to wait for your appointment date to get the medical examination done. However, a lot of people who live far from Lagos do it within a week/two of their interview date so that they can do it all in one trip and save the expense and risks of multiple trips to Lagos. You can download the form you need from the embassy website below http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html. Your spouse would need his/her international passport. You can call the number for Kamoras clinic. They are good at answering their phone and would tell you what you need to bring with you. The medical report is good for a year so as long as the interview will be within one year of completing the medicals, you'll be fine. Good luck.

    Thank you so much :)

  5. Hello

I was wondering when do we have to schedule for the medical.. Do we have to wait till we get the interview schedule email or we can get it done.. My spouse has to get a bunch of the immunisation shot so I was wondering if we should start early..

Also I went to the department of state to get the medicàl form for Lagos. Do we need to take that form to Kamorass specialist clinics? And last but not least what else do we need to take to Kamorass? Am thinking the appointment letter but I wanted to be sure

  6. Just an update.. I called NVC today and my case is complete.. They told me to call back July 19th for an interview date but they couldn't get me any July dates..

I know Nigeria is backed up but not as bad as Ghana so am thinking I may not get an interview till October but am hopping for September date if luck is oon my side..

    Thanx VJ

  9. Hey I had another question I wanted to file an expedite request because I am pregnant due in August and I wanted my hubby to be here for the delivery. I was wondering when I should email NVC..

Will it be when I am emailing them the Choice of Agent or after I have sent the AOS? Also would I need to get a doctor not to send to them as all to verify or validate the pregnancy.

    Thanks for the help
