How would you know if your case is transferred to VSC or CSC? On my NOA letter it says at the bottom PO Box Laguna Niguel, CA 92607...

Finally! I just received my NOA1... receipt date Aug. 29, 2013... How long does it usually take to receive the biometric appointment letter? Thanks!

My wife is not trying to travel. she would simply (not so simple!) be leaving so as to avoid overstaying her visa, which she and I take very seriously. Harpa, do you know of any place that I might be able to read more about this in detail, maybe from an official site? I have read that my wife can not be in the country once her visa expires (obviously), but i have not been able to find anything that explains exactly what happens if we do not receive the receipt before her visa expires.

Again, we have a UPS tracking confirmation that the package arrived there, just no documentation from their side . . . my wife called them yesterday (you know how that gos, with wait time) and I dont think they were very helpful, basically just saying wait for it, it might come soon, we can't give you advice - type attitude.

If you filed correctly (ROC instead of AOS). Your wife NOA1 should arrive in 1-3 weeks from the date you mailed it. I received mine after 2 and half weeks. Your wife doesn't need to leave the country.

I called them a second time and asked to be put through to Tier 2 - the lady I spoke to advised that the receipt of notice was sent today. Check was sent to be cashed today...guess it takes a couple of days to clear. Just hope her info was right.

That's good news! I got tired of calling them, they kept telling me to wait for 30 days. The good things is, my visa expiration date is on Oct. 23, 2013.

Today is Sept. 5 and still haven't withdraw my fee(check). i sent to them. I'm kinda worried. By the way, the payment check was from my husband...

This question is for my spouse (petitioner). It's about the Alien Registration Number. He's already a Naturalized Citizen. Do we need to answer this? Is his Alien Registration is the one on the Certificate of Naturalization called CIS registration number... We are not sure if we should answer this or not, and not sure also if this is the correct number... If someone can help I would really appreciate it... Thanks in advance!!!

This isn't free insurance, you have to pay a certain rate. It's just an option offered to the public, like HealthyNY. I don't think these are means tested benefits, as it's availablity is specifically for those with pre-existing conditions.

Yes. It's not a free insurance. That's the first insurance(HealthyNY) I applied but found out that they don't cover pre-existing condition. They refered us to NY Bridge Plan. We just got the good news today, they approved our application. Though, we have to wait for a couple of days to get the approval letter and invoice. I have to pay $421 dollars per month. It's not cheap but it's cheaper than other insurance. Thanks guys!

Did you try Medicaid. They have a plan for pregnant mothers. Where in ny are you. If you pm me I can give you the number of an agent who helps with inSurance

We are not qualified because of my salary. I tried PCAP too and I'm over 300 dollars on my income. I talked to an agent and this was offered to me. I already applied and still waiting for the status of our application. However, I don't know if it will affect when we apply for removing of condition for applying on this health program. Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me here regarding my problem. I just found out that my wife is six weeks pregnant. However, we didn't have insurance yet. I discontinued my insurance at work early 2011 because our company withdrew the share of our health benefits. It means we have to pay it in full amount. My wife came in the US on Oct 2011. Last Dec. our company health insurance got terminated bec of group inelligibilty. Our company didn't offer any insurance alternatives at all. Then this came. Since my wife have a pre existing condition, most health insurance don't cover pregnancy at all. I heard this NY Bridge Plan program--Obama health insurance program that got approve recently that covered pre-existing condition. I'm wondering if this is part of the means-tested benefits?. Are we going to get in trouble if we apply for this program?

Did you apply for PCAP program of NY state? I'm worried that If i applied it will back fire to me. We also worried that when we apply for REMOVAL OF CONDITION next year, this might be a problem. Anyone can help? I really don't know what to do... Excited and worried.

I'm on the same boat as yours. My wife is 6 weeks pregnant. I have work but our company health insurance terminated late last year (2011) because of group ineligibility. My employer didn't even offer us a new health insurance. While still looking for new affordable health insurance these past few weeks. My wife told me she's 6 weeks pregnant. I just applied for Healthy NY insurance and still waiting for approval. However, I just found out that her pre-existing condition is not covered by health insurance and majority of health insurance don't cover as well when you are pregnant and applying for insurance. This is a big problem for us right now. I hope someone can give us some advise.... Thanks!

Does anybody currently know the quickest way to mail a document from Manila to the United States?

I had once sent a letter via FedEx at SM only to find out that FedEx subcontracts and apparently they bundle their shipments and what should have been 2-3 days ended up being 10 days. I am wondering if DHL is any better and perhaps I should find out their main office to avoid any delays.

My wife used DHL. So far, I'm satisfied. It took 3-5 business day. She used DHL like 5-6 times. All accurate so far, from Manila to New York.

Congrats. That's quick. My wife's interview was the 13th and the visa was delivered on the 16th. How was your wife able to pick it up? They told my wife that they only deliver to her address so she had no choice but have it delivered there.

That was weird. My wife just asked/ requested the lady at Window 69 for pick up at her nearest 2go branch location instead of have it deliver and was okay.

I didn't expect that my wife's visa will be available for pick up in 4 days after her interview... She had her interview on Monday and picked it up today at SM North.... So happy! We didn't have have a chance to track it... Hehe!
