  1. I am on the same boat as this. My NOA 1 was received 2/7/14 and I had my biometrics 3/7/14 but to this very moment I checked any status update but found none.

I'm nervous like crazy and don't know what to do considering those fillers on later weeks had already been approved by VSC.

    :(

I called the customer service today because 6 months have passed since I sent my application

She told me that indeed it was over normal processing times for vermont service center and she offered to send a inquiry.

Before she did that she contacted the Vermont center and she told me that Vermont are a week behind and are working still on cases from

02/03/2014 so it should be handled in the next week or so because I filed on 02/10/2014

She finally didn't send any inquiry, and told me to call back in 2-3 weeks if no updates

I don't get this at all. Some people with cases of late february have been approved already, so how could she tell me they still process 02/03/2014 cases ?

  2. The check for my I-751 was cashed on Feb. 5th, we just today received a I-797C (for biometrics). Can we travel out of the country with just this? We have flights book for 2 weeks, and the appointment is 2 days before we leave. The form doesn't say anything about extending status, it's just for the appointment. Were we supposed to get anything else before this? Should we be okay to travel ?

Recheck your NOA. Mine says my GC status extended for a year.

  3. just wondering if anybody knows if EAD and AP comes together. is it something like a combo card? if so, how come my AP status on USCIS website had not yet been updated since oct while my EAD application had been. Last weekend my EAD status on uscis website says that on dec 23rd they ordered card production. today, it says on dec 27th they sent me a mail of notification re: approved EAD........... how about my AP? how come its had not been updated? Neither my AOS application... I have an overseas flight scheduled jan 8, you guys think AP documents/card will come in time?

  4. Hi, My wife had here biometrics done about 3 weeks ago after getting her i485 approved. I was wondering how long it takes after the biiometrics to get the green card? The reason I ask is because we are traveling to the Philippines in about 45 days and we need the card. Her friend told her it takes 3 weeks but now im having doubts. I was dumb and already bought tickets to the philippines. Anyone know about how long it usually takes?

i had my biometrics last nov 15th. i applied for AP and EAD together with my AOS application but havent heard from uscis yet after they informed me my case had been transferred to CSC. Last weekend, uscis website says my EAD had been ordered for production last dec 23. today, uscis website says, on dec 27th they mailed me a notification that my EAD application had been approved. On the other hand, NO update on my AOS. NO schedule for interview received to date. SAME thing for my AP --- NO update whatsoever. I also have a ticket for travel to phils and my flight schedule is Jan 8, 2012 so im keeping my fingers crossed i'll get the necessary documents for travel before my flight date...

  5. finally got a text today about my cases. it says card production now for my EAD on the USCIS website and the AOS is being transferred to an office. this happened after i called them today (this was my third call). it's been 72 days since the notification so i figured maybe i could talk to a tier 2 officer. i told the tier 1 that i know that my case has not been updated on the website and i wanna speak with a tier 2 officer for more details. he gladly transferred me after taking some of my information. the tier 2 officer didn't tell me much except that it's gonna come in January but it's quite surprising after that call my case was updated.

i thought its an EAD/AP combo card! how come they are approved on different dates?

  6. happy holidays....

I-765/I-131 approved (EAD/ Advance Parole) approved yesterday..

Do you know how long after we get this AOE is usually reviewed? I have not gotten any interview date yet.

Mine (AP/EAD) had been approved dec 23rd when i checked over the weekend but today it says: Post Decision Activity On December 27, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

And like you, i havent got any interview date nor have heard from USCIS about AOS. I figured (i wish and pray im right), that we might be exempted from the interview? Come to think of it, october fillers have their interviews scheduled either on the 1st or 2nd week of jan and they got their notice for such 2 weeks prior to the date of interview, at the very least! you think i could be right? hmmmmmm keeping my fingers crossed wink wink

  8. You can travel with the AP card. You can travel with the GC. For internation travel you will use your passport as the official government issed document so make certain the name on the tickets match the name on your passport. For re-entry to the US you will use the AP card or your GC when you receive it. There is no limit to the number of times you leave and return as long as you reside in the US for more than 6 months each year for maintaining your LPR status. If you plan to naturalize than you may want to look at how long periods of time outside the US affects that timeline. For the most part short trips for vacations have no impact. It is those people that want to return to their homecountry for long periods of time that can run into problems.

Good luck and enjoy your trips.

    hi dave!

i plan to go back to my home country as soon as i receive my AP (USCIS said its been on production as ordered last dec 23rd). since my plan of going back home is to enroll in a course that will make me stay there for 4 months, you think its bad idea and would give me probs in the future --- say, applying for citizenship?

    please help!

    many thanks!
