  3. hi gizq can you please post your timeline and when did your vawa was transferred please am waiting 8 months no interview date no nothing am very sad congrats to you on your freedom

I was aproved on 07/31/12, my case was transfer in 05/28/13. I got my interview notice on 07/05/13. Took more the a year for my interview.

  4. My interview was 08/08, not even 10 minutes. The lady said that she has read my I360 and has no questions. She verified my name, date of birth, parents names, yes and no questions and said: i'm trying to approve you, but I don't have your finger print available. you should receive your approve in 3 business days. After 3 usiness days I got the e-mail. Thanks everyone for the encouragement. My journey is done!

  5. gizq, don't get worked up. It may be small request. Did you send Medicals?

Not yet... I think its... I have see some cases like this here, when they get RFE for I485 and is just the medicals... I have my done, so im just waiting for my lawyers calls... Do you know if i have to be divorced at the time of my interview? I have no money for that and no feel like to deel with my ex husband right now...

  6. Gizq I was in a similar situation, but I didn't wait as long as you. My case was transferred in November or so, and my lawyer only just got the notice for interview. I didn't get an email or text message like when my I-360 was approved. I also didn't get a notice for biometrics so I was a bit confused. However I read on the USCIS website that there's a new policy where people with interviews get their fingerprints taken at the interview location also. So I guess I'll wait and see.

Since it's been so long it shold be about time to renew your EAD. Have you sent the form & attachments to VSC for renewal? That might be one way to get them back on your case.

Hello Believe, by miracle my case was transfer today... You right looks like after i sent my I765 to renew they finally take same consideration...

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Do you know how long takes now?

  7. Hey we are all in the same boat. I knew there was someone else besides Sissi and myself waiting a long time for interview i just couldn't remember who it was.

Siissi had a success with her congress person, her filed was transfer after she contacted them. But i guess every congress person is different in their diligent and determination to help.

It's easy to find out who is yor congress person. All i did was google "my congress person" and a website came up where you're ask to enter your zipcode or address.

    Hope this help!

Thanks Loveme and Sandra i will call tomorrow...

  8. Hi Everyone,

So I thought I would write a quick note, introduce myself, seeing as Im now part of the VAWA group.

I married my US citizen wife at the beginning of the year. We filed my adjustment papers in July. In March time she started becoming increasingly emotionally and psychologically abusive, in part due to a heavy addiction to alcohol and drugs. I tried to help her through these problems no matter how many lies I was told. We were married, and my job was to try and fix that problem and try and ignore all the abuse. I had my pending adjustment used against me by my wife almost weekly, with threats to revoke her side of the paperwork. One time she was so drunk and emotionally abusive I threatened to leave the relationship if it didn't stop, to which she just laughed and told me I couldn't leave as I had nowhere else to go, and if I left she would get me deported the next day. About a month ago I started making plans to leave her, but couldn't get very far as my EAD took forever to arrive and I had no access to any other funds. The day after out interview notice came, she changed the locks on our house, cleared out and cancelled all our bank accounts, disconnected my phone, ended the relationship via electronic communication, and left me for dead.

I'm now in the process of trying to figure out my VAWA application to file before our interview date in a couple of weeks.

I don't have any money, so I can't afford any legal help, and legal aid can't help as Im not a permanent resident in the states. Therefore Im forced to file on my own. Im scared and terrified every day, and Im even more terrified I wont get this package in on time. I don't really know how to put the package together, so Im trying to learn as much as I can, get it sorted ASAP, all whilst now applying for jobs with all the free time I have, now that I have my SS number. Im now somehow trying to figure out how to start seeing a therapist/counsellor, so I can start getting the help I desperately need, as well as for my paperwork...somehow without paying for the time being.

Its all a bit of a mess, but Im trying to keep positive, and get through this as quickly and as smoothly as I can.

This is my story so far :)

    What state are you living???

  9. Hi everyone, I just wanna know what's the experience after I 360 approved, I sent AOS application 4 months ago and still nothing, on dec 19 is gonna be 5 months, please I hope u guys can share..

  10. Hi guys, my I-485 has been transferred to NBC so i'm expecting my interview notice pretty soon.I'm very excited @ least this assures me that i'll not be waiting long for an interview.

As for my friend who got her receipts & prima facie within 5days of filing I-360,i'll keep you guys posted, she has her interview @ the local office coming up soon.

How is everyone holding up?Loveme,Macbook,Ssisi10,Myjay,gizq,Lorphelpme,optimisticchic etc,how r u guys doing.Keep faith y' all & goodluck to everyone who is waiting for approvals & interviews.

Good for you Liveyourlife  ... My still pending, 4 months of approval. No transfer, no letters, just nothing!!! Hope God give that for christimas... Hope everthing goes well in your interview  ...

  11. Thank u everyone.

Dominique,i was not in any removal proceeding.I went to my interview by myself 6yrs ago cos i figured it was better for one of us to show up than neither of us.I got a denial letter afterwards & a letter stating b/c my husband did not accompany me to the interview, that my application has been denied. In the same letter, it states that this does not deny me from applying for other immigration benefits. When i applied for I-360 last yr,my attorney checked but i was not placed in any removal proceeding.

I had 2 friends in the past that neither them or their husbands went to the interview & they got not only denial letter, they also got deportation notice.

You know how USCIS is, they r unpredictable.

Congratulations Liveryourlife  , unfortunally now starting another wait time lol  ... i got approved in 07/30/12 and i'm waiting for interview, i mean, i least for the letter lol... nothing yet :bonk: , but God knows the time  , let's hang in there...

  12. Thanks a lot for advice. Good luck to everybody! This waiting is soooo depressing....

hi hopeful12, take me 15 months to get approved. No touches, no rfe, nothing. i got 5 prima facies. I never used my prima facies cause i work and i never needed, so i live for who need this, thats my opinion. But if u need use it. Inpeace told to reneew it always, so they take a look in your case, works for me... good luck...
