  1. Alright.

So far AOS has us so frustrated it's unreal. I'm going to skip everything to this point and just be very succinct. We received an RFE. It asks for us to submit "Form 1-693" because "Part 5 is blank".

I had my medical in Vancouver in August. They took those forms at my POE. When I got down here to GA, I had a civil surgeon do the supplementary form for the immunizations. She signed them in part 6 or whatever that is (i'm not too sure if that was right but I'm looking at my copy of the I-693) So I called them and told them I received this notice blah blah blah and they said they will not sign in Part 5 because that is for the civil surgeon.

    Confused I called USCIS.

They told me my RFE is an error and to make an Infopass appt.

BEFORE I make my info pass appt... can anyone offer insight on anything here??

    *BIG SIGHS*

You said you had a "civil surgeon" do the supplementary form for the immunizations. Then you said they will not sign Part 5 because that is for a "civil surgeon"? That is contradictory. Did you get a civil surgeon listed on the USCIS website to fill in your I-693? The civil surgeons are listed here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

  2. By the way, to all members, in my NOA for my July 25th interview in Indianapolis, one of the docs listed was "any Government-issued photo ID"..which I don't have yet due to no EAD yet so no SSN so no state ID and DL and no car insurance inclusion (hahah!).. so I only have my valid Philippine passport to boot. I'd think USCIS would not expect me to have anything else? Any thoughts?

    Thanks and good day!

Hi, note that "any Government-issued photo ID" refers to "ANY" government. Your passport from your home country is a government-issued ID. They are not asking for a US Government issued ID. So you do not need to worry. Just go with your passport. I went for my biometrics with my passport, even though I have a State ID which I didn't produce.

  3. yippeee!just received a hard copy of the notice that my case was transferred to CSC. Hoping for the best,no interview.

anyways,i have a question... how long does it take for them to process the EAD? i checked my EAD status online but my case cannot be found. I did call the 1-800 number last week, they can't give me info either. i wonder what happened to my papers. just hoping to get the work permit so i can start working.

    Thank u! Keep the faith!

Congrats. It usually takes around 50-60 days to get the EAD approved

  4. After a month of having my docs, USCIS sent my documents back - rejected. Indicating that I

had not sent in the checks/fees for such filing. The instructions online and a chat with a

USCIS rep indicates that there is no filing fee. I have emailed DHS.GOV and asked for a review.

In the meantime, should I resend the original package with the printout from USCIS to show why

no check was included with the application. Should it be a new application or the old one. Now

that my pictures are 1.5 months old will they still accept them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Which forms exactly did you file and how much did you pay?

  5. Is the job offer the only reason you gave them to help expedite you case, or was there anything else?

I have one but I'm not sure if it will help me much at all.

    :-(

    Kezia

Yes, that's the only reason. I have a job offer scheduled to start in a couple weeks, so I faxed the job offer letter, my NOA1s and a Privacy Form they have on their website. The Senator's representative submitted my docs to her contact at USCIS and they approved my expedition.

I suggest you try to contact your senator/congressman.

  6. Hi! I have submitted an application for adjustment of status for me and my son. We have issued a check with total amount of $ 1, 705 total fees in one check for our AOS, I-131, and I-765.

I have just received in the mail today all my returned documents including the issued check with several Notice of Action.

I have three parts of notifications from them:

    1st - Addressed to me

This is in reference to the I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, you submitted. your I-485, fees and any supporting documentation is being returned to you for the following reasons:

the check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided.

    2nd - Addressed to me

This is in reference to the I-131, Application for Travel document, you submitted. Your I-131, fees and any supporting documentation is being returned to you for the following reasons:

the check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided.

3rd - Addressed to my son

This is in reference to the I-131, Application for Travel document, you submitted. Your I-131, fees and any supporting documentation is being returned to you for the following reasons:

the check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided.

Please help me understand what should we do. What amount should be in each check? How many checks should we issue for my son (9 yrs old) and I for I-485, I-131 and I-675? Isn't I-131 and I-675 no fee if applied together with I-485?

Please help. Thank you. God bless.

You should re-send the whole package with two separate checks. One for $1070 (your application) and the other for $635 (your son's application)

  7. Thanks. Me too. I can't believe they went through the application that fast. I triple checked my packet before I sent it in. I have absolutely no clue what it could be. Waiting for the hard copy of RFE is just killing me.

I know what you mean. I had to wait 4 days to get my hard copy RFE yesterday. I was wondering the whole time what the problem could possibly be. Hopefully you get it soon and it is not something hard to fix.

  8. hi guys. i have another question. so i'm trying to put together my husband's AOS package together and i stumbled across the I-693 part. My question is, since my husband got his medical done before POE here in the states 6 months ago, i assume his vaccinations are all still current. Also, i'm a little confused about the I-693. As i've read here on vj, some people didn't turn one in and others got away with not having an RFE. Also, what exactly is a transcribed medical result? I know we have to get it through a civil surgeon?? where can i get that done and how much? DO i really have to get it transcribed?? Please HELP!! thank u!!

You can find a civil surgeon on this link from USCIS https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV
