Someone posted that the IRS transcripts are not acceptable. They want the 1040 at the Embassy.

Even though I have the IRS transcripts (showing I paid the IRS) do I have to have the 1040 ? I am a technology manager so I am no where near poverty. I am missing 2010's 1040 but I will be sending 2011 1040 to her as I will have time to file before her interview.

I sent last year transcript only. Visa granted today.

So, you need to submit signed I-864 and IRS transcript for last year.

I have a question about Form DS-230 regarding Question 35 "List dates of all previous visits to or residence in the United States. (If never, write "never") Give type of visa status, if known.

Give DHS "A" number if any."

I am Canadian and my Wife is American. I visit my wife in the US frequently (2 or sometimes 3 days a week). But, being Canadian I have never needed a "Visa" or had my passport stamped. The only time I had my passport stamped in the last, say, 6 years is when I traveled to Europe and had to fly back into the US. Never worked or been a student in the US either.

I have read on the wiki : "For Q.35: List dates of all previous visits in US. within past 10 years Must list all visits stamped on the passport, even those that lasted one or two days. Pay close attention to the most recent 3 years."

So my question is, would I write "Never" for this question? Do my social visits have to be listed? Thanks in advance! =D

So you have a situation where the Parent has one child and no other relations.

The child emigrates, presumably as it is on this forum by Marriage with no great concern about leaving the Parent.

4 years ish later they have had a conscience attack and decide to bring their elderly parent to the US, removing them from their friends and the environment they have known and feel comfortable with.

Any savings they have are likely to be blown on health costs and then they risk bankrupting their child and presumably the spouse.

Sounds an odd scenario.

I am only child. Mother's last sibling and husband passed away recently, so environment not that friendly anymore.

Here is my plan. I can afford and I am going to pay for the medical insurance. The only my concern here is an emergency surgery with the cost over $200K. If such event happened, I can negotiate payment plan with hospital and pay off my debt in 2-3 years. In worst case scenario I can back it up with my 401K or my property.

Now question to you. Do you find immoral to let elderly parent die alone far away from family?

Maybe I have live it, my mother was a USC, and she couldn't even get healthcare before she DIE. So until you have lived it, you don't know what the cost is to you. I am not just talking $$$$$. Can you live with that, b/c you don't have healthcase, then there are services she can't get that might have savd her life.

I have experience wehat 5 days in ICU and a surgery cost, $100.000.

Oh , that was the 1st heart attack, the 2nd one happen 7 days later, that was another 50,000. Then the prescriptions that cost $60-$100 per 30 days supplies. But wait the medicine isn't working, so now you have buy a different one. Yea, now she taking 10 differents pills a day.

So now you have to decide between buying food or medicine.

Oh I forgot to add the hospitalization didn't end with the 2nd heart attack, other illness started to developed, and my mother wasn't even 60 years of age.

I'm really sorry for your loss. I'm sorry that your mother did not have any insurance and you now in huge debt. But, I'm still willing to care for my mother. In worst case I will live in debt, but with peace in my soul.

Yes, healthcare is not cheap. Many of us must choose between expensive heath care and no care at all. I am willing to pay high $$$ for my mother's insurance and care for my 70 years old mother, no strings attached. The choice is always yours. I understand the cost of my choice. if some people escaped getting an RFE when they sent in copies of documents for which originals were instructed, that does not imply instructions should not be followed as each case is treated on individual basis.

Well, I did not escape exactly. I called NVC and explained how i like and trust Russian post (sarcasm smiley here). Rep told me that my mother's original docs must be presented on final interview and I can send only photocopies and translations of her papers to NVC; however, I sent originals of my own Birth and Marriage certificates accompanied with photocopies and translations. I guess my case was flagged to go without original docs during this call.

I've dug this and other immigration forums and I learned that in most cases rep will say no to such request.

1. when my mom I130 will approve i can send the Email to NVC or do i have to wait for NVC to contact me, i can see that on 11/02/2011 NVC assigned u the case number and the same day u emailed them, how did u know they assigned the case number...in short when i need to email NVD for Email delivery request.

2. DS 3032 according to my knowledge has to fill up by petitioner (my mom) tht she will choose me as an agent, means she needs to sign the form too, so can i download one form and ask her to sign and send it to me so when NVC ask me i will send it to them (plss gide me)

3. The same thing with DS230, i see the form it is for the benefeciary so when i am going to recieve it , do my mom need to sign this..if yes i can ask my mom to sign and send it to me..(plss guide me)...

1. You should call NVC and auto attendant will guide you through. You should send email delivery request as soon as you hear that case # assigned by NVC.

3. I don't know if your Consulate uses electronic DS-230, it is pilot program available only at selected Consulates in Canada, China, and Mexico. So you still need to send everything except DS-3032 as hard copies.
