  1. You do not need the originals at the interview, the NVC sends the originals back to the embassy so make sure you ask for them after the interview. Congrats on your interview. My case is complete at NVC effective yesterday. They said Jordan had no capacity for a November interview, I am hoping in a few weeks they tell us the interview is in December.

  2. If you have not done so already you need to go to the Shariah court in the same district he got divorced and get a certified copy which means they will make a copy of the original and then have them stamp it with their stamp and have the qadi (Judge) sign it. Do not make a copy of it, also maybe have them write in arabic on the paper that this is an excerpt of the original document. Then translate it if you wish, into English. My wife did this for our NVC paperwork. They originally rejected it from us but I sent them an email stating it was for the shariah court the only issuing authority of divorce decrees and they finally accepted it without further documentation. Good luck

  3. My NOA 2 was August 3, 2011. This morning I called and it was entered into NVC as of yesterday 8/15/2011. Also my case was from CSC so I guess I was lucky. That is only seven business days really. They also told me at the NVC nearly all correspondence these days goes thru email and they are even doing the DS 3230 with an online version the DS 260 so that should speed things up.

  4. Hello everyone. I received great news yesterday via email and text that my I 130 and I 129 f was approved, awesome the 130 took 97 days in the CSC.

Now a couple of questions as I do not know what happens next, I do but not 100% sure and am hoping to get more knowledge from experienced VJer's

    Here are some questions.

Do all these bills to get the case out of the NVC to the consulate come to me the petitiioner or my wife the beneficiary?

When they send my wife her packet will I also get a copy in the mail?

Does she have to fill out the packet and mail it back before she gets an interview or does she just bring it to the interview with all documents filled out?

Since the I129 F and the I 130 both were approved will the USCIS or NVC just delete the 129 F. Does this make our wait for an interview longer?

Will the NVC send me the affadavit of support request soon?

I really appreciate any answers you can give me to any of my questions

    Thanks

  5. Has anyone gone through the K3 visa medical exam? What does it entail. Blood tests, vaccinations? Does it take long? Are their more then one trip required. I know it is probably diffrent for every consulate and country but any advice would be greatly appreciated. My wife is deathly afraid of drawing blood, needles, etc. Of course she has to do it but I want to just have some info so I can get her ready.

  6. Since your father is Jordanian and involved in your arrangements, it is to be assumed that he will look out for your best interests.

Isha'allah, all goes well for you!

    Salam

I think you need to file the K3. I got married in Amman and I did have my wedding their in March too but even if we would not have had the wedding I still would have had the K3. the Jordanian govt considers you married, you can go to the website of the consulate in Jordan and they tell you very specifically that you can not file the K1 once you have done katil il keetab. Email amman-IV@state.gov and ask them.
