So, it's been a while!! I have a question regarding renewing my passport..

I know that since I want to change my last name (waiting until passport expired -- June 2016, instead of doing it when I got married) I will have to apply for a new passport instead of renewing. Now my question is... Did anyone have issues with getting the picture specifications right here in the US since theirs are different? Any tips or advice on where to go and what to say?

Cool! Not everyone gets this do they? I don't recall having had this from USCIS before.

I got my paper copy approval today, 6/26 which stated my approval date was 6/19 (although my email/text was 6/23)

I believe you do if you sign up for it on the USCIS website ... That's what I did! Once the card was sent out I also got a email and text alert that included the tracking number.

I'm sorry to give you bad news, but you need to be a permanent resident for three years, minus the 90 days plus married to a USC for those three years in order to apply for citizenship. Its not all that much longer at least.

My greencard was just Delivered, exactly 3 months since I filed my ROC! AWESOME timing and it Feels great to have it in hand!

Now the count down is on to Naturalization, October 4th 2014 only a couple of months to go, can't wait until this process is over :dancing:

My ROC was just approved (without interview)... In my package I just printed off copies of pictures on regular paper. Like others have said above, they will not send back any evidence you submit, that's why they ask for copies. Hope that helps.

I hope it's just a coincidence too.

Anyways, today I got the physical notice in the mail that they had ordered production of my new card. So I believe this is not a dream- things never went smoothly with the USCIS before. It took ages for them to adjudicate my AOS application, and that was after congressman and senators were involved.

Sounds like too good to be true, but it is true this time.

I got my physical notice in the mail today confirming my approval and card production effective June 17th! Fingers crossed that the card comes just as quickly

I hope not. Did you try numbers close to yours only? Try some others that are much bigger...

Or call the USCIS, talk to a Tier2 and ask what's your last update on your case to be sure. Let us know!

I believe it's just a coincidence, I checked numbers close to mine and some were approved earlier, one was the same and others had not been approved yet. You have to realize how many applications they get in at the same time.....so I'm sure there are a lot that are approved on the same day and it just so happens that a lot of us update on VJ! No need to worry or over think it!

This is weird... So I got a text alert and email yesterday informing me of my card production dated June 17th ... Then today I get another text and email alert stating the same thing except the card production is dated June 18th! Is this normal... Anyone else have this happen? I'm not worried about it but just curious

YES!!! Just received the following update from USCIS:

On June 4, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Quicker than I expected! Will update when I actually receive the card. YAY, done with this silliness!

So looks like my husband and I will be moving from IL to NC during our ROC!!! We sent off our paper work in March to California Service Center, however we are moving to a State that is Serviced by the Vermont Service Center... Anyone have an idea of how this will effect our application timeframe and will they have to transfer my file to Vermont or just finish it in California? Also, we won't have an address until we are there, I was thinking of opening a PO BOX on base in NC just before we leave so that we can have all our mail forwarded ... I'd contact USCIS and give them the PO BOX as our mailing address...However I'm stumped on what to give them for our home address, since we maybe living in lodging for a while waiting on housing to be available. Would I just give them the address of the lodge on base? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have gone through something similar to this! I'm going to assum this isn't worthy of being expedited ... Or is it?

We will be moving on military orders from Illinois to North Carolina within the next 3 weeks... so we wont have an address until we physically get there. I was thinking of opening a PO BOX on base in NC just before we leave IL, so that we can have all our mail forwarded and contacting USCIS to give them that PO BOX... However I'm stumped on what to do about physical address since we maybe living in Lodging for a while waiting on housing to be ready. I guess we could give them the address of the on base Lodge?

Well, I asked for advice on this weeks ago and the consensus at that time was that I should stay because my original file was sent in March. Be that as it may, I'll go since you seem to think it would be best. Thanks!

Nope, I'm staying I can better build my expectations of what is ahead. Besides, I filed in March. Let's let USCIS open their mail at the pace they see fit.

Why would these people be asked to leave this thread when they clearly filed in March? Like Daeras said, it's not their fault USCIS took their time getting the mail... Or even in Trav&Shell's case with a document missing and having to resend it! Everyone's circumstance is different and the thread clearly states this is for March Filers.... Does it bother anyone else that these members received their NOA in April? Not me... And I look forward to seeing your updates!
