we are in the same boat when we started our K1 visa application... so i wil just share my experience to you guys. My fiance visit me on middle of May and we submit i-129F early June that's before we discover i am pregnant. we request expedite but yes as what the people here says pregnancy can't be a ground for ucsic to expedite. so we are just praying and hoping that the papers be approved quickly its a race of the visa and our baby... end of October we received notice from uscis we are in rfe they need my original g325a and we sent right away so 2nd week of November we saw in the uscis that they already approved the i-129F so one week after we call the nvc for the case # so we can get the schedule for embassy interview.. we did it all as fast as we can and while waiting we are also preparing for the papers we might be needing for the next step... so we did it fast medical then interview even though we been through circumstances because after the interview (dec 12)i get 221G because my passport was wet... so i need to get new one... so i process my passport right away i got my passport (dec 27) and sumbit to embassy right away and request for expedite because im about to due good thing embassy honor my request, last friday they said i can get my visa so after 2 flight moves finally on Thursday i will leave to US... the airline will allow me to leave even if im just turn 8 mos prego they just ask for medical cert... my doctor gave me since i am healthy as well as my baby...
just sharing my experience so to give you idea.... God answer prayers in his own perfect time. i hope same thing will happen to you too or even faster... God Bless!!!

try your best to get done before 4th of january so you can leave the country.
yes i will.... i think i just need to be more courageous and prayerful... hehehe thank you for the encouragement it helps...
-
Yes, it is possible! Just talk and explain your situation, and they will take care of that.
I hope your embassy is as understanding and giving as yours though but thank you for the reply is encourage and inspires me:)

i am more than 7 mos prego and we are really in a hurry and had my ticket dated jan 4, 2012 and i need to have my visa in hand on the 3rd so i can still have time for sticker in CFO (i already have attended the seminal just going there to get the sticker) We are planning to deliver our baby in the U.S. but at the embassy after interview they said i need to get new passport since my passport is defective (it was wet- i already had processed and will get it on the 27th)... so my question is, after sending my passport to them, im planning to ask and try to go to embassy if i can just deliver personally & pick up my passport/visa right at the embassy and will tell them that i already have a ticket. since i heard they accommodate expedite for pregos... so i just want to know if its really possible???? anybody tried pick up the visa at the embassy instead of the long and uncertain date to when we can really receive the visa through there courier??

go to the passport agency, it takes a couple hours if you go in person. http://travel.state.gov/passport/npic/agencies/agencies_913.html
Andy
hey Andy i appreciate your reply but im in the Philippines and i need a passport agency from here that can process my passport that quick but im afraid we don't have that kind of passport agency here:( so, i have no other choice but to move my flight... its just sad i though i can have a white Christmas with my love, but it seems wont happen this year:(

If I understand what you are saying, not only will you have to get a new passport, but you will have to deliver it to the embassy so they can affix the visa to the passport. The visa is actually affixed to the passport. So, even if you get a passport in 5-8 business days, the embassy is going to take the new passport then start the process of affixing the visa. This process will take at least 5 business days, then they will send the passport to you (or you can pick it up I guess). Also, your CFO stuff has to go in the new passport I believe. I would say best case, you may get your passport/Visa in approx. 15-20 business days then get your CFO stuff fixed. Plus with the holidays coming up, well, I don't think there is much hope of leaving for the USA this year....sorry. Just don't see it happening this year.
Maybe you can reschedule your flight for early to mid january. Better check with the airline about your pregnancy, some will not allow you to fly them if your 8+ months.
well yeah... all things can be possible now... il just try to do thing i can and if its not yet really the time for me to go then its not...

Hello!Go online and check what is the available slot- http://dfa.gov.ph/..option 2 show up at DFA then go to a Consular Officer and approach him about your case..My sis did the same last week..she needed bad her passport and good her request was granted to release earlier compared to her scheduled date of releasing..Just try...God bless!
yes i would definitely do that 1st hour in the morning tomorrow... i heard they accommodate special cases... we will see... i just lift all this up to the Lord.... he knows whats best for us and his plans are greater than us.. so things will happen with its own purpose... thank you so much for that very inspiring comment it helpes me feel better too:)
-
Not really sure if you can get a a new passport in less than 10 days but I'd love to know. The posts on DFA Manila- click here just clearly says 10days or 20days. However, if you are going to apply for tomorrow, looks like you should pick up your passport on the day of your flight. What a pressure, huh.
yeah, we will see... i will do my best and God will do the rest...

Congrats ruizloi! Don't worry I'm sure it's just a little bump on your journey. You'll be with you lovey soon!!
Thank you... il try tomorrow though...

So I applied for an e-passport replacement today. The officer at the embassy warned me that it usually takes longer to replace a mutilated e-passport. This is so depressing.
have you tried talking to the director? i heard we can ask to expedite we will just bring old passport, medical Appointment, Interview Appointment, letter or notice from embassy and make a letter of request to expedite stating the reason why and attach the proof... i will try tomorrow..
-
There must be a way for you to expedite the passport replacement. Explain the situation to DFA and get it
expedited for additional fee. Let them know it is a must that you're able to leave prior to Feb 1, 2012. Good luck!
hi, any idea about expediting passport processing??? i need it so bad too (im 7mos prego and i already have my ticket and medical clearance that i will travel to US on the 23rd) BUt embassy said they will not send me my visa untill i will send my new passport to them or elses its gonna be more risky if the immigration will deny me because of the defective passport
-

ay thank you sis ha... may problema nga lang ako sa passport ko... as in sobra namomroblema ako now:(
-
I'm just curious...Your passport is defective? How?Did you accidentally fold it or was wet?
yes it was wet but i already had ask dfa (thru phone about when when we started processing our Ki and they said as long as its not tear off then its ok.. but now the embassy is afraid to send me the visa before i renew it because they said its more risky when the immigration at the POE will hold or deny me to enter because of this (defective passport) need help so bad:(
-
I think Tim/Mav was mentioned about how to get passport an expedite, maybe it just needs some additional fee to make it faster.

my interview is on Monday i have a question with regards to our evidence of support my fiance sent me 3 years of itr 1040, 6 mos payslips, bank statement, summary of salary, healt and life insurances & real property taxes but my question is he sent me all in photos copies.. is this ok???? and the itr he did not signed the itr.... can this affect my visa approval???? what do you guys think?
-
hey guys need your help, what to bring ror medical at St. Lukes Medical Center?
-
Your welcome!
Too save time, you can schedule your interview and medical a couple of days apart. In that case, when you finish your medical, SLMCEC will give you the results so you can hand carry the sealed results to the interview.
yes, that's what im planning to do too.. thank you so much:) God Bless you!!

@ leatherneck, thank you for the prompt reply. it is very much appreciated... God Bless!!

Thank God. we are approved!!!! on nov 7, i saw i checked in our uscis site our case status and there i saw it the status from review to post decision activity and it says we are approved day after we got a text message from uscis that we are approved but until now we haven't received our NOA2 hard copy yet. as i have read in some forums and time lines they already have called nvc 3 says after the approval and there they got the case # and that's in-able them to pay for the visa and a schedule for interview. my questions are:
1.) can we proceed to the next step by calling nvc if they got out packet from uscis already or so we really need to wait for the hard copy from the uscis?
in addition to the above, i live in cebu but i was planning to stay in manila after medical and interview. my fiance and i changed our plan instead of getting a flight from cebu to TN we are planning change my itinerary from manila to TN so another question is:
2.) can i pick up my visa in manila 2go office? or they will send it right away to cebu since i put my cebu address to all the forms i filled up?
i badly need your advice, we are in a hurry because im prego later next month is my 7th im afraid we will be having a problem at the airline if things will get slow this time... although my doctor allow me to travel till january.
-
1.) Medical Fee = $213.35
2.) Interview Fee = $350.00
3.) Plane Ticket (Travel Tax) = (Economy=P1,620.00/ First Class=P2,700.00) depends on the ticket you purchase some are already inclusive of travel tax and some don't
4.) Terminal Fee = P750.00
Good luck to your journey sis;)

While we await NOA2 I now think of fees and taxes to be paid
Can anyone give us an idea of the following cost/fees?
Medical fee?
Interview fee?
Departure fee/tax at the airport in Cebu?

Hello everyone! Do you have any recommendations for a very good hotel in Cebu with free breakfast (buffet or not)? We are planning to stay there for a week with 3 adult children. It's nice if it's around downtown or uptown (not in Lapu-Lapu or Mandaue area coz it's too far). Thank you for your suggestions!
you did not mention about the rates concern? i assume 5 star is fine? try this www.crownregencyhotels.com/hotel/ its just in downtown and the place is nice with free breakfast or this www.travelph.com/resorts/Cebu/waterfronthotellahug just near ayala mall and sorounded wiht nice places restaurants and some gigs...
but in case your also concern with the rates try this www.islandsstay.com P850/day or this www.mycebuguide.com/cebu-hotels-resorts/Vacation-Hotel-Cebu i tried this one and it really gives us the best deals:).. good luck!
