hi, my case is much different than yours, i was myself in the US for 11 years legally studied and worked, my wife and I met there and she is an american citizen.So I lready have all the info updated over there in US.The only thing i can suggest, you can tell your wife to call USCIS and ask for a Service Request or check with her areas senator/congressman to have them call USCIS.I hope this help
