The K visa category isn't available via DCF. You would be petitioning for an IR-1/CR-1 visa (IR-1 is when you and your husband have been married for 2 or more years).

Hello! I'm new to this forum but I'm hoping that someone has any information on this process? There's not much information online and I've been periodically contacting the US Consulate's office in Santo Domingo but have been getting conflicting information on what I need to file. I'm a US citizen living (legally) in the DR and I have made the appointment for my husband to get his 1st interview by the end of this month (we are going for a K3 Visa). So far, what the consular office has told me to bring is the following:

From Me:

US Passport (copy of front page only)

Certificate of Naturalization (as I was born in a different country)

Dominican Issued Cedula/ID

Document of Entry/Exit *this is what has confused me so far...I've been told twice that I need it, and once that I don't*

For my husband:

Dominican Passport (copy of front page only)

Marraige Certificate (lengthy regional version) plus translated version

Birth Certificate (certified plus a translation)

I130 Form

420 USD

G-325 (both him and I need one)

2 of each 2x2 photos Passport type photos (1 profile)

proof of relationship - emails, pictures, bills, etc...

I'll be going to his interview with him, but just curious if anyone has gone through this process and could share some tips!
