    went to the social security place but they wont give me SSN unless i have my EAD....

      that's what happened to us too, the guy wouldn't even allow it showing them that sheet as well saying that he has to wait til the EAD, because they stopped doing that after 9/11. It sucks. but we're applying for AOS now so :) lots of luck to you !!!
