Homesickness well does it really go away. It decides when and where it wants to strike your SO . Are you going to feel helpless absouletly although you can't transform yourself into the person(s) their missing you can hold their hand and look in their eyes and let them know you will be there no matter what some things don't need to be said just a rub on the back or hug maybe just a peck on their forehead.

I came home sick. I came home disheartened about situations at my job, I came home like I used to come home when he wasn't here. I wanted to climb in bed and let the silence take me. I got out the car, he came outside to greet me. He saw my face, held my hand walked me inside. Sat me down and opened his arms...rocked me like a child and said... I got your back! I've never had that before. My God this man is real. I closed my eyes and I exhaled.

Had one of these days.. I just while on my way home sent the holy spirit home before and ask him to calm my household and when I got home and parked my car I prayed for God to help me leave all I was feeling outside the door. Im so glad to see sis that he was able to come along side you and console you.

I want to talk about ADJUSTING TO EACH OTHER because once he/she is home it's different love story. I advise you to like who you marry. Love simply isn't enough to make it thru. Once the romance of travel, letters, emails and webcams becomes Honey I'm home we have to adjust. Adjust to everything from food to sleeping. Respecting each others cultures but not completely changing yourself or expecting them to change. HONESTY IN CONVERSATION WILL OPEN THE EARS AND THE HEART.

Well said as usual big sis... Adjustment just like everything else along this journey is defintely not for the faint heart. But one thing I have known to always work for us is praying with one another and also praying for one another when apart. Because the devil doesn't like a unity let alone union of matrimony. Today the atmophere has shaken in two wonderful directions. Today is my oldest son's birthday so Happy Birthday Tristian! and my girl Olomi811's husband was approved for his visa. Family God is still performing miracles and blessing us with the gift of life. I'm so happy and proud to be called Mother and joyful to be called sister and friend. Every evening they sit in the den watching tv or listening to music. "DAD" he says..."yes son?" he answers and the conversation begans with my young one. Then I'll hear talking ustairs...two voices. I walk upstairs to see my oldest getting advice from him listening and hanging on to his words.
