It seems that we need the invoice number in order to pay and that was in the corrupted attachment.

I received the "blank emails" as well today.
You all will be glad to know that I called and spoke to a rep.
He said that they have acknowledged that the batch of email that they sent today was corrupt and will be sending out new emails as soon as they resolve the issue.
Kaizen. Thank you so much. That is a huge relief.

I would call the office center where u filed to hear about ur status, make sure u have ur file #.
I tried to open it with chrome, then with Adobe, then with Thunderbird. All the same result. Nada. We filed at the Chicago Drop Box, so I'm not real sure who we would call, this is the first we've heard back from them.
Still, very happy to hear back at all.
I got the same thing today (except mine was for AIVF FOR NEOPOST DS-1200). I emailed them about it but have not gotten a reply other than their automated message.
other info - I'm using PDF Converter Enterprise 7.1, and I tried opening it from Firefox and IE but no luck.
That's a relief, if it happened with more than one of us, it certainly is a mistake on their end and hopefully they will resend.

Hi Everyone,
We sent our i-130 in about two months ago and hadn't heard anything until today when we got two emails. The emails had a message about the attachments only being for the named but the attachments (both pdfs) were blank when I tried to open or download them.
Please help!
The attachments were:
1) CSBxxxxxxxxxx (PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)
and
2) CSBxxxxxxxxxx (ACL FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)(CC)
I'm assuming that the CSB # is our case number, but what were the attachments? Will they resend them?
What should we do now? We're excited to have heard something but at a loss as to what to do next. Thank you.

@Moroccan_wife - Thank you!
@Sarah Thank you so much! You've answered all my questions even with the amount necessary for the affidavit. You rock!

Hi Everyone,
I apologize as I realize that many of these questions have been asked before but I've searched through the forums without finding all the answers I'm looking for and I'm hoping that some of you can help me to get an understanding of what seems to be an incredibly confusing process.
Here is our situation: I'm American and my wife is Moroccan. We've been married for a year and a half and we've lived together in Morocco and Turkey. We are expecting our first child in a few months. I haven't been back to the US for about 2 1/2 years. I'm self employed and my income is sporadic and not very high. I make enough to keep us housed and fed in Morocco or Turkey, but probably not enough to support us in Hawaii where I come from. We have no intention of going back to the US for the next year or so, but after that, we are considering it, mainly for the benefit of our child.
So, here are my questions:
1) Can anyone tell me what I have to do to make sure our child gets US citizenship?
2) Is it possible to get my wife a visa when we don't have a US residence?
3) I've heard that the American partner has to have an established residence in the US? Is that true? Can I establish a residence without being there and separating from my family?
4) Are there financial requirements in order to get my wife a visa?
5) How long does the process take? What's the best way to go about it? How much does it end up costing?
I've found some information that answers these questions, but I'm really hoping that someone who has been through the process can definitively clear these things up for me.
Frankly, I am somewhat astounded that these things are issues since from what I've been told by some other people it seems that I will either have to separate from my family in order to get a visa or never go back to Hawaii. Frankly, both options are unacceptable.
Thank you for any light you can shed on these questions.

Emails from NVC with empty pdfs - PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200 and ACL FOR NEOPOST DS-1200

Okay. They resent them now and I've paid the invoice and am trying to figure out the options with the rest. Things are moving, that's the important part.
