  1. Hi,,

    another inquiry..

The NVC has a new letter for us.. It says:

    Dear (Beneficiary's Name):

Please provide us with the current email address for your attorney for record,

We will update your case record when we receive the updated email address. Case Number: ____

    Petitioner's Name: _____

    Principla's Applicant Name: _______

Preference Category: F4 - Brothers and Sisters of US Citizens

    Priority Date: 04OCT1989

    Foreign State Chargeability: PHILIPPINES

    U.S Embassy/ COnsulate General: MANILA

What does it mean? Why do we need to have a lawyer? It means acquiring a lawyer will cause us again a money. Why is it like this? It's my first time to hear this. Please help us.

  2. if you have declared in your ds 230 that he is working abroad and living there for more than 6 mos then he should acquire one.please see and read word for word what NVC says about police reciprocity, obliously if he will be using the passport that he use in going to malaysiya,it would appear that he went out of the country

oww i see. but the latest letter that we have received from NVC about missing documents only include philippine police certificate and photograph. I will just inform him to get one since from what I have read, it's one to two months processing to get a police certificate in Malaysia. Thank you so much Pampoo... still Long way ahead of us.. hehehe :)

  3. Hi everyone.. I am new in this forum... Like most of you, I like to share how is it going in our F4 visa process.

    To give you a background,

Date the petition was filed: October 4, 1989

Date of approval: March 28, 1990

My birthday: August 8, 1990 (will be turning 21 in about 2 months)

Our process started when my aunt (petitioner) emailed NVC requested for some update about our petition last AUGUST 26, 2010.. She is worried that I will not be able to join my parents because of aging out so she email NVC.

September 7, 2010 - received I130 with DS3032 (Choice of Addressn and Agent)from NVC (wow! quick response) and sent back immediately

September 9, 2010 - aunt paid the Affidavit of Support fee ($88) and received the receipt with IN PROCESS note.

September 27, 2010 - received a notice from NVC to pay $404 (for my mom, my dad and myself)as Immigrant Visa Processing Fee

January 4, 2011 - received the Document Cover Sheet and notice to submit all the civil documents needed and DS 230.

we're having long time fixing our civil documents since our passport got expired and we needed to renew them, BUT REMEMBER this process can speed up if you have everything ready...

May 5, 2011 - sent the following to my aunt (photocopy and original)

    1. birth cert (3 of us)

    2. police certificate (san juan city police station)(3 of us) --- THIS IS WRONG!

    3. my parents marriage certificate

    4. photocopy of our passport

May 21, 2011 - received a letter from NVC for missing documents:

    1. 2x2 photograph ( we weren't able to send this the 1st time since according to travel.state.gov, they are requiring it on the day of the interview)

    2. police certificate (we should send the one from NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION not from a local police station)

May 23, 2011 - went to NBI Caloocan to get nbi clearance. I got it the same day but my mother got a "hit" and was asked to return May 26

(my father is working abroad so, IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT TO SETTLE ALL THE CIVIL DOCUMENTS since he is not here and his boss won't allow him to go home since he just went home last March)

May 26, 2011 - went to NBI again to get my mother's clearance.

May 29, 2011 - received the authorization letter and other necessary documents from my father to get him an nbi clearance

May 30, 2011 - went to NBI for my father's clearance and got a hit AGAIN,, will return tomorrow...

BOTTOM LINE:::::: prepare all your documents beforehand..

It's already May and I will turn 21 on August.. can we fix everything before my birthday. I understand that there is a CSPA but I am still afraid about it

Thanks for your replies,, will update you right away about our process.....

We already got our police clearance, but my father still needs to place his thumbmark... We'll send it first to him to Malaysia before sending to my aunt... It's a long process.. :) :)
