Because of the US concept of what is immediate family The person and those directly related parent/child/spouse/sibling and only slightly extends beyond that , So to a US person your siblings spouse is closer to you than your parents sibling.

categories of people who qualify as substitute sponsors. I'm asking

if anyone knows why a biological aunt or uncle wouldn't be included

in the list of qualifying relatives?

Has anyone heard why substitue sponsors cannot be an

aunt? Just wondering why a sister-in-law and mother-in-law

would qualify but not a biological aunt or uncle.

My father filed the i-130 for me. We were near the end--only the medical

and interview were left. I notified the NVC in May 2013 that he passed away.

Now I'm in the post-decision activity phase, but wondering why didn't the

NVC revoke the petition in May rather than having me wait all this time. I can

only assume that the petition will be revoked?

What does the uscis consider to be compelling evidence to increase the

chance of getting aproval on humanitarian grounds? My late parent filed

the I-130 which was approve. I now have a substitute sponsor to continue

on with the process. But what are the compelling reasons to file on these grounds?

In ur case you can live where ever u wish in the USA.....Most people here on VJ are relationship based as in husband/wife.... girlfriend/boiyfriend

I'm not even sure what the visa is. It's not IR-1 or CR-1.

initially. I prefer not to do either. Cant I just find my

in the barcode. Deleting the "Place Case Barcode Strip Here"

doesn't work. So, how do I enter the barcode?
