  1. Hello VJ member, I entered the state by using K1 visa and I got married with my lovely fiancee a week ago. I just wanna know what documents i need to file for AOS, EAD and AP? What kind of evidence i should collect from now on?

I heard people say they need: House lease receipt, Family phone plan, Joint bank account, photo, marriage certificate.....

Do u think it is enough? Let me know if any other documents that could make it more stronger support for AOS.....

    Thanks you :) :)

  2. My interview date was on 6th December, 2011 and i was approved on that day.

The CO ask me lot of questions like how we met? how do u know each other? how long u know each other? How u keep in touch? How often do u call each other? When will u decide to get married? What do u think if ur fiancee older than you? Has she ever been married before? fiancee's name? DOB? POB? age? her home address? how many brother and sister she has? what does she do for living? how much she get paid? how many hour she work in a week? how long she been working there? does she live in a apartment or in a house? how long? rent or own? who she live with? what does she do in her free time? parent's name? parent's occupation? Address? When did my fiancee become us citizen? How many time she visit me? for How long? and where did we go for the last met? how many people in the engagement party? why my fiancee's parent can't come to our engagement party? when did she finish college? the last question he ask is how much my fiancee get paid? i answered them correctly and he said please come again on 9th december at 11:00 to pick up ur visa...... :D

  4. When I seen this I SAID WHAT . On the 129-F? No requirement for an exact engagement date is needed (not even a ring for that matter.) Just Marry in 90 days is your promise/vow.

Pushbrk is correct and other responses as well as Gary's. I laughed at Gary's "Opps I made a Mistake."

If this is really going to upset you and worry. Contact your Lawyer and have him/her make an "Attachment/Addemdum" for the Original 129-F stating the date was in error, signed by your Attorney. A Fax should be fine. Take this to the interview and only show if asked.

I really don't think it will be needed though. Proof of your relationship and relevent factors are more important.

Your almost there, interview in 2 weeks.... Good Luck to you.

    Thank you

  5. There is not a field to fill in an engagement date but question 18 should have a statement of how you met. Often an engagement date would be part of that statement.

Please clarify exactly what mistake was made where and how.

USCIS, yes. However Consular Officers will concern themselves with and verify ANYTHING they think is important.

Yeah... On question 18, we need to describe the circumstance under which we met. the lawyer fill that question by putting our engagement date on 14th december, 2010 but we get engaged on 17th december, not 14th.

If the CO ask me when did i get engage? what should i answer?

    Thank

  6. This is the instruction for fiance non-immigrant visa applicants from u.s embassy in Cambodia.

FIRST: Completet and return by mailing immediately to this office the enclosed Form DS-230-I, Application for immigrant visa and alien registration, Part I, Biographic Data, Form I-134 (Affidavit of support), and This Form OF-169. This office cannot process your case until these forms are received.

    My question are:

    1. Should i attache an Original or a copy of National ID card to support the form DS-230 before i sent it to the u.s embassy in Cambodia?

    2. Should i attache my fiancee's paystub, tax return (last 3years)and Job letter to support the Form I-134? Or just keep those support document to bring with on my interview date?

    3. What is Form I-864 (Poverty Guideline)? Should i or my fiancee fill the form? or any other person who sponsor me?

    Looking forward hearing from you.....

    Thanks

  7. Hi..... I mailed to IVphnompenh@state.gov which is the an email of the u.s embassy in Cambodia and they said they are mailing the packet 3 to my address in Cambodia. My fiancee in the state got hard N02 on september 8th, 2011. I just wanna know when i can get that packet 3? Where i can track that packet 3?

From this link http://photos.state...._for_fiance.pdf, What should i do with it?

First, i know i should fill out the form ds-230I, I-134, and Of-169 then reply to u.s embassy in phnom penh, right? (only ds-230i, I134 and of-169, right?)

Second, Should i check on the checklist from number 1 to 14? Should i leave it uncheck if i don't have for example military support or court and prison records?

At the end of the instruction they say

    Enclosures:

1- Form DS-230 (Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration).

    2- DS-156K (Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application Form)

3- DS-157 (Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application-for all Male Applicants between the age of 16 to 45, regardless of nationality or place of application.) The above forms can be downloaded from http://travel.state.gov

4- Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support). Can be downloaded from www.uscis.gov

5- Form I-864P (Poverty Guideline) Can be downloaded from www.uscis.gov

    6- Medical instruction

    7- Photo instruction

What does it mean? is that mean i have to bring all of this documents to the u.s embassy on my interview date?

Again and again, What i understand is to fill out the form ds-230, I-134 and of-169 and sent to u.s embassy? the rest is to bring it on my interview day, right?

    Thanks for helps
