  1. Yeh I thought I read somewhere it was required. In fact alot of people who have had UK medicals, have taken it as previously they asked if you had it. Perhaps also so they know you wont be a danger to their doctors? I dunno.

Actually I remmeber now, it wasnt in the pdf to bring it, but when I called up to make the appointment they told me to bring a copy

My husband (Philippines) was asked the same question during his medical appointment. My husband admitted that he had a "case" 10 years ago and he was required to undergo PSYCHIATRIC TEST. I think that is why they require you to tell them if you had a criminal record.

Unfortunately, in the Philippines, they do not release details of the case for "minors". It is against the country's law so the Psychiatrist did not bother testing him anymore and said that he will leave that decision to the consul on the day of my husband's interview.

It is very nerve wracking right now because I am afraid it will be a deal breaker. :(

  4. Hi,

My husbands case was completed today but they said they don't have anything for July anymore and will have to schedule it for August. Do i need to follow up on that or they should automatically contact us? And if I need to contact them, do I call NVC here or US embassy in Manila.

Also, kindly advice how to get an advanced Medical appointment from St. Lukes. so that we can get it done while waiting for interview date.

Thanks so much, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  5. case complete and final review are two seperate steps. The sign in fail/case compelete just means they have all of the documents. That is when the final review begins. Should only take a few days to a week for the review to be completed.

May still make a July interview. Our case complete/final review started was 5/2 and the interview was 6/1. In the meantime you can make final prep for the interview. Do an updated evolution of relationship letter. If you were previously married write a letter regarding this with dates, whether there was a visa involved etc. Have them both notarized and sent to your wife (or take them with you if you will be at the interview). Pictures and the EOR were the only thing they looked at for us.

    Hi sorry, newbie here...

    What's EOR?

  6. Hi,

Please help me. I've been sleepless lately :(

I am the sponsor and my husband (beneficiary) has a juvenile criminal record (2001) that was just PROVISIONALLY dismissed last year, 2010. He was never imprisoned or arrested. It was just a misunderstanding. We only found out recently that the case hasn't been closed yet so we fixed it and went through the proper "court process" and had it PROVISIONALLY dismissed. Do you think this will be a deal breaker for his chance to secure a visa? I decided to declare it but I am so scared that the officer might judge him. It is not true, I can vouch for that. It is a pretty serious accusation (child abuse). I talked to the complainant and he admitted it was all a big lie. just for money :(

Please help me... will this deprive him a chance to get a visa?

    Thanks so much,

    Mrs. P
