Dear Fellow VJ,
I am scheduled to be interviewed at the US Embassy on December 7, 2011 at 6:30am. I am wracking my brains now at the samples interview questions shared by fellow VJ. I would appreciate if anybody can share their INTERVIEW experiences at the US Embassy-MANILA.

hi everyone! (please do move me to a forum related to changing names-dunno where to go). i just changed my maiden to my husbands last name - dmv and ssn. i havent changed it at work. is it ok not to change my nursing license in california and just use my maiden name as it is.? i still have to renew my license this month. i just want to use my maiden name professionally. any experiences guys or know somebody related to this topic? thanks all.

Hi guys- my husband has his drivers lic ( not international) with him. And weve read in the california drvers manual that he can drive anytime and its good for 6 months. So i guess its ok for him to drive. Wanna share your experience guys? Thanks.

Hi, thanks. To track it go to:: www.2go.com.ph , click customer support - tracking e trace and type your case number. If it says invalid it means its not yet delivered from embassy. Good luck!

hi all, my husband had his interview last sept 9, 2011, friday. A very nice and young Consular officer called him for final interview. He was asked first about me and then later about himself. here are the questions:
how long has your wife been in the US?
what does she do for a living?
how long have you been in Saudi Arabia?
WEre you really neighbors?
do you have pictures of the wedding?
He was not asked for any additional documents. Thank GOd.
After that the CO congratulated him. Visa Approved. IT was just a quick interview done in approx 5-10minutes.
Tracked our case on 2go website using the case number MNL2011xxxxxx and it's already on transit as of 9/13/11, tuesday.. hope to be delivered in a day or two. thanks VJ'ers for all your help and support. God bless us all!

Filing K-1 visa, and i know you need police clearance if you lived abroad for more then 6 months. My question is this has any filipina worked in Saudi, and if so did you file for police clearance.Saudi Arabia is on a list that they don,t provide police clearance.I just want to make sure that this won,t be a problem with the embassy in Manila, if you don,t have one. Thanks
HI, ,my husband worked in saudi arabia for 3 years and got his police clearance at riyadh embassy before he went for final exite. if you're already out of the country of saudi aradia you can call the SAudi embassy in manila. ..or follow this link..

Hi, my poe was LA seven years ago. As I remembered. I was on an employment based visa. It took me and my friend 30 minute to wait for us to sign the paper for entry. Not sure about CR1/IR1 visa. Just sharin'..

I know my fiance has to submit her birth certificate for our marriage license but do I as a USC have to provide my birth certificate or will I just need my passport and the AFFIDAVIT IN LIEU OF CERTIFICATE OF LEGAL CAPACITY TO MARRY?

So my fiance went to the Civil registrar to ask for the requirements to get married and they told her that I need a CENOMAR, CEDULA, and Barangay Clearance. Im a USC so I'm a little confused as to how I would go about getting those. This is the Cebu City Civil Registrar she went to. Is that information right?

hi guys, my husband passed the medical tests and had his interview! thank GOd. but i was sorry to hear about the dad of my friend who had to go thru sputum test. he was asked to come back on sept 19,20,21 for the sputum collection. was wondering what will happen to his interview on fri sept 9. will st lukes inform the US embassy and will automatically cancel the interview or should they be the one to call the US embassy.?
another question, his wife did not get her result coz she did not want to go thru the interview alone without her husband and did not even get the result at st lukes. is it ok not to show up at the appointed date of her interview? and just leave the result at st lukes for now? please enlighten me. thanks all.

My husband was at st lukes today and he noticed that some ppl were given xray films after they did the xray. he is on a CR1 visa. He will come back tomorrow for immunization. does this mean he passed the exam without given the xray film?

yes it is secured. that's what i did when i had my aug 5'11 meical. it's easier coz you will not fill up a lot.

yes, it is secured. you will receive an email confirming your registration. you can print it and present to the guard at st. lukes. you can save a lot of time if you registered online.

hi my husband's interview is on sept 9 and i am getting excited and anxious. i read the appt letter again and notice that on the document status description of the letter on page 3 the O - means the original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements. The rest are just Y and F. Does this mean that the O - still required to bring orig docs like marriage cert and nso birth cert? any experiences fellow v'jers?? we have another of set of documents we submitted at the NVC stags ready. just dont want to miss anything during the final stage of this journey. thanks all!

hi bea hmm no worries about s nbi mo as long as pasok p xa s 1 year expiration nya pwede p yan.kc ako nga interview ko was july 18 then ung ginamit ko n nbi will expire this coming oct. 21 2011.pwo ala nmn akong na encounter n probz on the day of my interview.
basta original ung ibibigay mo s knila hindi photocopy.

wag k kbhan kc madali lng talaga ang interview as long as completo k s mga requirements and confident k sumagot (smile always)..

For those who are planning to renew their NBI Clearance they should bring original copy of their previous NBI clearance. Take note photocopy is not allowed

hi all, my husbands interview is on sept 9. We submitted nbi for the NVC stage dated june 22. Now my concern is to get a new NBI clearance it would take 45 days because of the new system. Is it ok to submit the NBI dated june 22 , will they ask for the NBI really? please enlighten me. thanks all.

NBI has a new computer system that would take 45 days to get a copy.

I have a question has ur husband get any vaccination done? Because I'm not sure if my husband has to get vaccinations before his medical
hi,my husband only had flu vaccine that was done when he worked in the middle east. if there's no record of vaccination, they said the doctors at st luke's will asess the individual's vaccination needs.

The medical is 2 days. His best bet would be to go tuesday-thursday close to lunchtime....then it should only last half the day (that's what my wife did and the first day was about 5 hours and the second was about 2 hours...first day was so long because she had to wait for the physical exam). I have read where people have gone in the afternoon and only been there like 2-3 hours both days. I know when my wife got her appointment letter for her interview her medical was "scheduled" for a week prior to the interview.
Your husband can do the medical now if he lives close enough. Good luck!

Yes, you need only nbi. The police certificate mentioned in the requirement is the nbi in the philippines. Before you can get nbi you need to have a brgy clearance then get police cert and go to nbi next.
