  1. Hi Garry and Ally,

I thought I read you could. Glad it worked for you! We will try it and maybe mail the origional one also as backup and take originol to interview. Hey I notice you live in USVI. I live in Virginia, but we are planning on getting married and honeymooning in St. Thomas, USVI so he will first come to Virginia on the K1 visa then we will fly to USVI a month or so later for the wedding/honeymoon obviously before we marry or he has EAD. Should we have any trouble doing that and making it back to the mainland, Virgia via Miami or Charlotte NC? Will they give him any problem entering USVI or leaving it? Or will will be fine since USVI is a territory of US? Thanks!!! Did you marry in USVI? We cannot wait!

    Thanks,

    Erica

Hi, we will be marrying in the USVI and you shouldn't have any problem entering as its a US territory. I would still mail a copy it...it won't hurt at all. Take care!

  2. Has anyone experienced any kind of harassment when going thru us customs? After they ask me what's my purpose of visit and I say I come to see my bf/fiancé. Why do they freak out?

Thus time I'm staying half at his parents house and half at resort do I tell them that in Jamaica or just say hotel?

Also im carrying all my k1 papers in my carry on will they start ?ing me if they see this?

Just be honest, some of them may be jealous:-)

  3. Quick question all...

Seems as though our non-impediment will not be ready for the interview. Although we are praying hard that it gets through by tomorrow the lady said there is no guarantee. Anybody have this experience recently? What was the result? Anyone know what might happen? I'm assuming it will be a blue slip situation and we'll have to make a follow-up appointment to bring beck information.

Any responses and assistance are welcomed. Thanks all.

I pray you get it in time. My fiance just got his approval and they only looked at the my financials and our twins' birth certificates. It may be that simple for you too. Keep praying!!

  4. Hahaha...I can relate with you at the beginning. I did it too everyday, but, the moment I knew we got approved, wow! mixed emotion "this is it" ??? of course, happy to get approved, but, knowing that I will be leaving my comfort zone, my good and stable job here, families and friends, sometimes it is quite tough, but, overall, I must continue the whole process because I know I love a very good man and I just felt that this is what God wants me to be. Love should prevail, in God we trust ! :) Just relax and soon you get your NOA2, it comes unexpectedly. Best wishes !

I did the same thing too...hang in there, think positive. God is always in control!

  5. Hi, I was shocked when you said you had a number to call the embassy in Kingston. DO you mind sharing that number with me. I would like to speak with someone there as well?

Well, I called the embassy a million times (no more than once a day though) and never had problems at all.

  6. I want to ask you a question. I was approved on July 5. I have not received packet 3. Should I just fill out the form 230 online or should I just wait until they contact me? Also the information on form 230 isn that my information or my fiancee? Thanks in advance.

We filled out and signed the DS 230 part 1 and scanned it and emailed it to them along with his Passport ID page, the NOA2 and a cover letter requesting an interview date. As long as you have a case number and it has left the NVC you should go ahead and move forward.

  7. You are able to email them and request that they send you packet 4 via email. Aside from JA post being crappy, my fiance and I requested it email because his work schedule doesn't coincide with when the post office is open. He's yet to have gotten it in the post (we were approved the 1st of this month). It took several weeks and incessant emails to consulate to get it by email but it was worth it.

Be sure to include 2nd Inquiry- your case number in the subject line. Best wishes!

Thank you! I emailed them and requested to get it via email. Should I email them again?
