  1. Congratulations , wish you the best luck

You will receive an email containg interview schedule letter. In page 4 of that letter, you will find all the documents that are being forwarded to the consulate with status. If any of the document that are still to be submitted at consulate, the status would indicate that. In addition to those, you will need medical to be done and take the sealed envelope to interview. Then take all the additional evidence of continuing relationship that you gathered (tickets, invitation card, chat from skype), photos of marraige, reception, honeymoon, any inter-mixing of finances like joint accounts, joint lease... to interview. Of course passport is a must.

It is good to take copies of your I-130, I-864, DS-230, DS-3032 also. If you have not submitted the original marraige and date of birth certificates, please take them to interview.

The bottomline is that your interview letter will spell out the requirements to be submitted at interview. Look for that.

Finally if you have not submitted copies of the originals submitted with DS-230, take those and then the consulate will return the originals keeping those copies. And if you have submitted both original and copy, then they will return the originals. Of course, you remember to ask for those, if they forget.

  2. My fiance is working in Amman Jordan on a work visa. Her hospital is making her either renew or resign from the hospital contract that ends in Nov. Her residence visa expires today so she either needs to tell them that she will resign and go home to Phil or renew the contract. I don't see a point of her renewing the contract I assume we will be approved before Nov anyways. Plus if she renews then has to break the contract she will be charged up to $1400 for breaking it. I think the best choice would be to resign. She can always just go back home and finish there if needed even though personally I think it would be better for her to finish up in Jordan but that is matter of my own opinion...

My question is can she get her Police Certificate while her residence visa is expired if they know she is still under contract with the hospital? Or what will happen if she tries to do that?

    Hi there,

Police certificates can be obtained at the General Intelligence Department/Abdali in Amman. You must ask for the police certificate form for travel abroad. You must present two passport photographs, a copy of your passport and fee stamps.

    General Intelligence Department telephone:

    962 6 586 5131

    If you live outside Jordan

You can apply for a police certificate through any Jordanian embassy abroad by presenting two passport photographs, a copy of your passport and fee stamps

i believe the best option is calling them and ask them about your case.

    good luck
