Yeah I laughed when she told me that. My grammar wasn't so hot in that review, but the details got across. I hope it helps, and I wish you the best of luck. She did bring all of her paperwork with her just in case, but they only wanted those things and a little additional proof of a relationship. Definitely have him bring a book, I can't imagine sitting there for 4 hours for that interview, it's bad enough you're nervous you know.

I agree. I had a comment like that out there but took it off. It's tough waiting and not having any person to deal directly with or have visibility into what's going on. It's ridiculous you're still waiting on that.

MicheleandBahadir, thank you. She is worried about buying tickets a few weeks after the interview before it's approved. So far there have been no issues, and I told her don't worry about. Alot of other people (different countries) all gave her worst case information and horror stories. Everyones case is different, but what you told me is even faster than I though, I figured 7-10 days. Thank you.

Turkeyluvr, Oyku sent it on the 12th of Sep, the Embassy got it the next day and she received an email from the embassy with our date on the 21st of Sep. So it took 9 days. It normally takes 7-10 days from what I know. You can't call them. Your best bet is to email the Embassy from their home page, you'll need the case number.

Good luck on the 27th, I guess that'll answer my question about the Visa timeline.

I submitted my package to the Texas Service Center. I had no problems, and it worked out. I was worried though after submitting it and finding out everyone on the East Coast went through Vermont.

Thanks, she got the interview date the other day. Her interview is 22 November.
