  1. Hey May fillers! Congrats to those approved. I have a quick question regarding a transfer notice I received on 9/17/13. I sent my application to Vermont 5/7/13, received NOA 5/10/13 and then didn't hear from USCIS until I got a transfer notice in the mail. In the case type it states approved removal of conditions. However, the body of the letter just basically states that my application was transferred to California office and that I will be notified of subsequent action taken on my case. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for your input.

  2. Funny that you asked about DL in PA. I just renewed mine and according to penndot's website, as adjustment of status applicant you need:

    - Social Security Card,

    - 2 proofs of residency,

    - immigration documentation indicating status such as I-797 Receipt Notice, Biometrics Notice, Interview Notice, Court Order of Immigration Court hearing,

    - one of the following: EAD, passport, copies of documents certified by the Applicant's attorney or by an accredited Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) representative may be permitted if person's passport is held by immigration agencies in court procedure

    Good luck, hope this helped.

  3. Hi! I was in a similar situation regarding the F-1 visa. Your wife as you already know is allowed to stay and complete her studies. This type of visa allows you to stay in the country till the duration of status. Just make sure her I-20 is valid and there is no issue. I'd advise you to apply for the AOS, so you can get the ball rolling. To speed things up I would also contact USCIS once they receive your application and explain your situation. In case they will not want to expedite your application, you should contact your congressman and they will help you out. I hope this helps. Good luck with everything and best wishes to your mother-in-law.
