  1. That's slightly incorrect. If you keep your Russian citizenship, you are ineligible for a Russian visa. You have to give up your Russian citizenship BEFORE you apply for a Russian visa (and if you are going to travel to Russia, there is no sense in giving up your Russian citizenship).

How can it be possible in real life?I do not quite get it.Let`s say I do have both passports.Leaving the States ,going to Russia, showing the Russian passport at the check in,correct?Because they will not buy american one with no visa...Once leaving Russia, what do you present?I would say american passport as otherwise you can not get on the plane. However, where is the visa to Russia or any proof of your staying in Russia?

Can t get it.But know quite a few people practicing that....

    If anyone has any thoughts...

  2. Interview date Assigned! Unfortunately it's about a week late for Emily's Birthday, so looks like she'll be flying out to England for a few weeks before we fly back together. May 29th in London...Done and Done!

Yay!Congrats!!!May be you can try moving the date up?Not sure if it is possible with your embassy. It is with some of them..

We Have Our Interview Appointment!! Just got the email at 4:45pm EST We are set for May 15, 2012 @8am, London. So those of you who had CC at NVC mid-march onward should be hearing soon! I am glad this part will be over soon, however, we will more than likely have another 6 mos or so wait after interview...we are going to need an I601 waiver :( But crossing fingers for Cristmas together in NY (L)

    Nice news!

IV package was accepted. AOS checklist is still being reviewed. Almost.. there...

    Grats on this!

I got our interview date today by email! May 21st, so he may be here just barely in time for our June 3rd wedding anniversary!

That would be a perfect gift for the anniversary!Grats!

My poor littlest boy, he's six. He was talking to hubby on Skype and dad told him he was leaving to go skiing for the weekend, but he'd be home Sunday. Dusty's little face lit up, "You'll be here on Easter?!" "No, I'll be at my house, but I'll call you" The little guy's little face fell and the tears started.

    :crying:

    Hi all,

It has been a long long journey but getting there one day at a time. Just called NVC and found out that the IV pacakge was accepted and the case is complete. Will be notified of appointment date at the Islamabad Consulate.

    :dance::dance: Grats on CC!

Congratulations to all those who got their interview dates. Hopefully, I'll be next.

You will,I am crossing my fingers for you!

Well, Trav's on the road now, headed for the airport. FINALLY. :) If I can't get anywhere with NVC, at least I can have a few hugs :)

That would be helpful! But I also wish you had some progress going by now!

  3. I just got mine too!!

We don't have to bring anything to the interview besides our passports and the emailed letters! I thought they'd want to see lots of stuff.

We have an early morning interview and almost a 3 hour drive to get there but my husband didn't think I should have to get up that early and get on the road with 2 kids, one of them will be a new born, so he has booked us a very nice room at the Sheraton already. (L)

Oh,that is so sweet of him!

They did not request for anything from us either, everything is checked,so they have all of the things needed.Of course,I remember to bring myself :innocent: ,passport,my medical.I will also take additional passport size pictures just in case though they do have them(I heard stories...),all the prooooooooooooooooooveeeeeeeeeeees of the relationship(want to see the guards face when he sees me with my huge box for 10 years...).

  4. Just DoS to ask if we had an interview date yet. We don't but when I asked if he knew when it may be assigned he actually advised me to call everyday!!! I was not expecting that response.

Woohoo! Just as I was typing this and 2 mins after getting off the phone with DoS I got an email from NVC with my interview date!

    8th May London here I come :D.

Hope everyone else gets invoices, cc's and interview dates soon!

How nice is that!!!Grats and happy dancing!!!!!

  5. [quote

    Peaksy is a guy :P

But, to the main point, GRATS!! kicking.gif

And this is why I ALWAYS suggest calling NVC and DOS. You can find out from one while the other doesn't know yet.

    I'm psychic devil.gif

    Oops!My appologies to Peaksy!

And I know you do say that. But after being chatty with NVC operators it was like ####### those DOS people sitting there for? They were always like out of space-well,always is 2 times.

    Thank you,dear psychic!

  6. WOOOOOOOOOO congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

lol...neither can I, I just keep hitting reply and sometimes my replies mash up all together :P

Thank you!I am sending my happy vibes to you!

   CONGRATS!!

    Thanks!!!

Whoa, congrats!!! After reading this, I tried my luck with DOS too. Unfortunately, I was told that an appointment hasn't been scheduled yet and that I'll have to wait for them to coordinate with the consulate in Mumbai. Oh well, I shall call again same time next week, I guess! devil.gifdevil.gif

There is whole day tomorrow as well! And half of the day left!you ll get yours soon. They started shooting those dates out! Thanks!

  7. Please don't kick us out of your nest!! We really do want to be informed before opening our "traps" but sometimes there are just too many messages to keep up with!

And good news.....my AOS fee now shows as PAID!!!! Don't know what happened there, how bizarre. Anyways, now I'm going to read up what I have to do next so that I don't get kicked out of the nest for asking unecessary questions, hehe.

I like when NVC starts moving their b..tts!So nice to have good news !Whether it is case # or bills,or paid status!!!

  8. Hey guys... since caring is sharing...

What do you do when you are waiting for your life to "begin" so to speak... and you live with a mean and selfish family member, who is vindictive and seeks to 'prove a point' all the time???

Mind you; this person claims that she is "living the bible!"

    urgggggggggggggggggggggg

I know sometimes it is not in our nature, but I noticed nowadays it WILL NOT help being nice and patient when someone like that is around! You have to treat them the EXACT WAY they do!

I am telling you,I have noticed difference!Use that person`s tactic!

  9. Thanks!

Two days ago I sent the NVC a request for an expedite. I asked to have my appointement assigned sooner. The first reason I gave them was the long wait with uscis, the rest was just a semi long letter with personal reasons. My hope was that someone with a heart would read it!

I also never asked to have the appointement set sooner what I wanted was to be notified sooner. I didn't want to have to wait until the 2nd week of april for various reasons-

I sent it to NVC who forwarded it the same night to my embassy

    I know you posted before...can`t find...where did you e-mail it?just to the nvcinquiry?anyones attention?Thanks!

  10. I would think 300 days would be more than enough!

We were told we could request an expedite for USCIS losing our file for six months. But we're not in a huge hurry. We don't want to POE until after June 12th anyway. Don't get me wrong, the sooner the better!

In the mean time I'll be happy for everyone else!

Yeah,I ll see what s happening "this mysterious second week of April".

Meanwhile,I can get an e-mail ready in my drafts.
