  1. this site helped me a lot and I would like to share my experience.I hope it might help someone.

we had our interview on sept. 7 at Baltimore.the interview was very short maybe be 5 to 10 minutes.here are the interview questions that were asked.

1)name,address,dob,ssn and parents name(for both of us)

    2)where and when we met

3)if our parents know about the marriage and were asked to show a pic. of them

that was all we were asked as far as i can remember.we didn't have much evidence.

Things we DID NOT have include (Lease, health insurance, life insurance, car insurance....)the only things we had was 1)joint bank acct.

    2)family phone plan

    3) affidavit letters from my in-laws stating

    we live with them

    4)affidavit from friends

    5) pictures that can show time line

At the interview the IO didnt take my I-94 and EAD.and we were told we will hear back from them in 120 days but on sept 17 (10 days after my interview) got a card production notice and on sept 19 got an approval notice.

    thanks so much for all.

  2. Thanks!!! How did the interview go? Good luck if you haven't already went through it! =P

I got the EAD hours in the mail before i went to the interview....and the interview went fine..it lasted for like 15 minutes.we were asked very basic questions. But we didnt get an approval on the spot...now we are waiting to hear from them..i hate waiting hahahaha

  3. About to mail my AOS package next Monday and have few questions that will appreciate help with...

    1. Leaving empty fields - read to leave no empty fields and put either None or N/A - does that apply to apartment # for example ? Example forms in Guides section show empty apartment # field

    2. G-325a for petitioner - which box should be checked at "This form is submitted in connection with an application for: " ? Should be "Status as permanent resident" or Other (and the what to put there) ?

    3. I-864 - if petitioners income is way above poverty levels, I assume everything else (Assets i.e.) can be left empty ?

    4. Entered US on L-1 Visa - what exactly should I write in "In what status did you enter", "Current Immigration Status" and current "USCIS status" ?

    5. Eligibility category on I-765 should be c9 (adjusting status based on marriage to USC) ?

Thanks in advance to anyone that will bother to read and answer.

1.ya put N/A or none on every empty fields..that's what i did

2.for petitioner check "other" if you r filling the i-130 and put "i-130"

    3.ya assets are optional ,u can leave them...again that's what i did

4."In what status did you enter"?:L-1

"Current Immigration Status" and current "USCIS status" ?if are still on L-1 put L-1

    5.yes its C9

  4. Thank you guys for your reply....its good to know other people experience. At least i know from you guys not every IO take the i-94 and EAD.The interview went fine it lasted for about 10-15 minutes. After she told us we will hear something in 120 days(20 days are very long, from the day we sent the package to the interview day it took us 67 days) ,i asked her if we need to be worried about our case she said "no".she said she just want to review the case again.we were hoping to hear something right there but didn't happen for us.There is nothing worse than waiting in the dark.

    thanks again guys..

  5. ..Hi guys,

yesterday we had our interview.we were scheduled for 1:30pm and we got called in around 1:40pm.then we were sworn in.

the IO was very friendly, she asked us very basic questions like ,name ,dob, where did u met,do u have plan to have kids.then she wanted to see some pics and took couple of them. And asked us to show her some assets together.we gave her some documents we have ,she didn't even looked at it in detail.she just said you recently got married so i don't expect too much joint assent together. then she said she got everything she needs for now and said if i need i will contact you and told us the interview is over.she also said she needs to review the case an we will get the decision in 120 days.

she didnt take my i-94 nor the ead.from what i read here, most people say IO will take the i-94 during the interview but mine didnt. should i be worried? did some one have experience like mine?

  8. Hi All,

I'm about to file for AOS but i'm confused how to explain why i was not required for not filling taxes.I called the IRS today and after asking me lots of questions ,they told me i was not required to file taxes because i earned less then the required amount. So now i'm trying to write an explanation for not filling. Can somebody guide me how to do that and if there is any Irs publication i need to attach with the letter?if somebody got a sample letter of this kind i would greatly appreciate.

    Thanks guys for your help.

  9. Thanks Maxximus ,your help is very much appreciated .we will get some membership cards.I was also thinking to print out some Facebook pics with their comments from friends (they have date and time) to show we were dating for more than 2 yrs before we got married .do u think the Facebook thing is an ok idea or is it too much?I'm very worried about his AOS , i can even sometimes feel when my nerves are dying lol
