  1. It makes me happy that you got it today too, maybe our interview dates will be close too. I know it has been such an amazing journey...but so good, We really feel blessed.

I was thinking of faxing it too. Do you need to fax it during office hours or it doesn't matter?

I'll probably fax it later tonight.

    Buona fortuna anche a voi!!!!!!!!

Grazie mille! I don't think it matters what time of day you fax it.

I agree, it has been an amazing journey! I hope we get approval before the holidays so we can be with our love's. Either way, we are SO GRATEFUL to have come this far. (L)

  2. Hello everyone and happy week-end!!!!

Well this morning I checked my e-mail and I got packet 3...YYYAAAYYY!!!

Now my question is should I fax it? That's what they suggest but I've read that some people e-mail it too????

Question number 2: The forms are March 2010 anyone knows if they are different now or this is the last update?

    Thanks everyone!

    Ciao belli!

We also received our packet 3 this morning. Congrats to both of us!!!!!!!!! (L)I would definitely fax the paperwork because not only is it faster but also more reliable and they cannot start processing your request until they receive. The only other option, according to the instructions, is to mail the original forms to the Consulate. It does not say you can email them so I would not do that unless you call and they specifically say you can do this.

Regarding the 'March 2010' in the zip file name I would disregard that. The zip file they sent us as well as another couple says the same thing.

Buona fortuna tutti!!!!! :D Many blessings in your journey!

  3. Your list looks pretty good.

As long as you make enough money I don't think it is necessary to send your retirement info.

I-864 is used when you adjust status, so you don't need it yet.

I've read that other people have sent 2 recent pay stubs, so that is what I did

When the Consulate in naples receives your file, they will send you an email that has a file attached with all the forms that you need. They also attach directions for filling out the paperwork as well as all the documents your fiance needs to bring with him to the interview, and a list of vaccinations needed and a form for the doctor to fill out. Make sure you read the directions they provide very carefully because after you get packet three, you only send two forms back to the consulate (part 1 of the ds-230 and a signed statement which is provided at the end of the instructions), the rest you keep to bring to the interview along with all the supporting documents. Things are clear as long as you read closely. Also know that there are two different police certificates that your fiance needs to bring.

I don't know anything about the DS-160... After you fax the two forms (part 1 of ds-230 and the signed statement, you will get another email from the consulate saying that they received your fax and can make an interview appointment in 5 days.

    Good luck!

Nice! Thank YOU for your reply, Kaleigha!! Your interview is coming up soon. Tanti Auguri!!!! (L)

  4. Ciao VJ Friends!

I am putting together the documents I need to send my fiance for the Embassy interview. Am I missing anything from the list?

    • copy of I-129f package
    • New letters of intent to marry
    • Affidavit of support I-134
    • NOA1 (original and a few copies)
    • NOA2 (original and a few copies)
    • Employment Verification Letter
    • Copies of taxes from last three years (directly from IRS)
    • Bank Statements
    • Pay Stubs
    • Original Proof of relationship
    • Recent proof of relationship

Do I need to provide a statement of my 401k retirement info.?

    Do I need Form I-864?

How many paycheck stubs should I submit?

Anything else missing or I should provide that would be helpful?

Here is the list I found for him on the Italian Consulate site. I am guessing the packet 3 will outline this stuff?

    • Police certificates from all places lived since age 16
    • birth certificate
    • medical records
    • passport
    • military records
    • Form DS-156 (must have at least two copies)
    • Form DS-156K
    • Form DS-230 part 1 and part 2 (can send this form ahead of time?)
    • Three Visa Photos
    • Form DS-160 - must submit electronically with photo to schedule interview?

Your help is APPRECIATED!!! Thanks and God bless!

  5. She just found out while on her way to Moscow.

We are all so lucky. so unexpected.

to answer TraCami, I did it myself after lots of research and reading of forums here and anywhere else I could find, Maria did just as much if not more research, so it was a team effort. Sent to Texas and was routed to California.

We will keep you posted as to our progress and what we do when and where.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for the posts that got us to this point!

I also did research on my own. I just hope I did everything correct on the first shot...

This is a GREAT reference site, I wish I found it sooner. I also love hearing everyone's stories. :-)

Good luck to you ALL!!Here's wishing we all have the same luck with the quick turnarounds.

  6. That's great news!! Congrats!

We recently recived the NOA1 and I hope to have the same luck as you with the NOA2. Where is the service center you filed at? Did you put the paperwork together yourself or did you hire a lawyer? I did the paperwork myself and my filing center was Texas however, they had to reroute it to Vermont for whatever reason. Now we are PATIENTLY waiting...

As far as next steps I believe the USCIS will send the petition to the NVC and then from there it goes to your fiance's US Embassy where they will process the request, run background checks, do the interview, etc...
