  1. Hi All,

I'm confused. Do we need to bring the same documents to the visa interview? We already mailed the originals in the IV packet. In the NVC letter, all of the documents listed have the status as received:

Y = The required document has been received.

O = The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements.

F = This form is not necessary for this application.

    CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 Y

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 Y

    2 - PASSPORT Y

    3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE O

    4 - ADOPTION F

    5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE O

    6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F

    7 - COURT RECORDS F

    F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE Y

    8 - CUSTODY PAPERS F

    9 - MILITARY RECORDS F

    10 - PHILIPPINES POLICE CERTIFICATE O

    FEE PAYMENT $

    PHOTOGRAPH Y

    F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F

    F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F

However, in the Manila embassy guidelines it has the following instructions:

Immigrant visa applicants should have ALL the following documents ready to submit at the time of the visa interview. Your application will be refused if you fail to bring any of the required

    documents.

What exactly do I need to bring to the interview?

  2. Hi,

Very soon you will get appoitment letter from NVC. It says about your interview date, medical exam and may be packet 4. Now you have to deal with your local embassy. Just call to NVC next Monday and ask them about interview date. I have one q. for you. When did you send your DS230 package to NVC? Did you get any RFE? I just sent about 1 week before and i would like to know how long they take to complete cast at NVC. Good Luck.

Thanks. What is Packet 3 and Packet 4? Are there any other forms that I or my beneficiary needs to fill out and submit?

I sent the DS230 package to NVC on June 20 (next day delivery) so they received it on June 21. I just received the "complete" message from AVR today. I did receive an RFE on June 14 but it was saying that they haven't received the DS230 package yet. I wasn't able to send the DS230 package until June 20 because my spouse was still in the process of getting the necessary certificates.

  3. We sent the DS-3032 through email. We got an automated reply. Then, last Monday, we also received an email:

However, until now, I still don't have the IV bill.

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by telephone, mail, or email), all submitted fees and documents will expire. If this occurs, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

    Petitioner's Name: XXXXXX

    Principal Applicant's Name: XXXXX

  4. Hi All,

USCIS already sent my package to NVC. When I called NVC, the AVR said that they don't have a record of my case yet. I called again to talk to an operator and the operator said that they have already received my package. However, it's not uploaded to the system yet, (so no NVC case number) and I can't give them my email address yet for correspondence. The operator mentioned that it takes 4-6 weeks to be in the system before I get an NVC case number.

Does it usually take that long to get an NVC case number?

I was looking at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut#2._USCIS_Sends_Package_to_NVC and from my understanding from steps 4 and 5, that I can get the case number and also tell the operator of me and my spouse's email address even before the case info is manually inputed to the system.

    Thanks!
