If your get email form NVC so you are on sch.... It's ok your no is not on list. Just double on list cuz 08/30 interview case on middle of the page too.

Yes I have got the email but my case number is not on the list and yes i will contact the mumbai consulate regarding the same.

  2. checklist cover letter

    Supporting Documents missing or incomplete

Part 6 Sponsor's Income and Employment

[x] Joint SPONSOR's income indicated on the I-864 Part 25 does not correspond to that

shown on the most recent tax return and W-2(s).

My father in law is the joint sponsor and he's filing taxes jointly with her wife.

He is the only sponsor I have apart from the petitioner.

As He is filling taxes jointly with his wife then how does he separate his income from his wife ?

    In the form i864 Ques # 24 a © = individual income

In the form i864 Ques # 25 = individual income or combine income ? coz the irs form shows combine income of both the joint sponsor and his wife

    Plz help me out

    Regards,

    Ankit

  3. My case got completed on 07/07/2011 and waiting for an Interview date to be assigned for MUMBAI consulate.

    Hi,

My case was completed on 07/03/2010 and today I received an email from NVC that an interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in MUMBAI (BOMBAY) on August 30, 2011 at 07:30 am.

But I do not see my case number at IMMIGRANT VISA APPOINTMENTS - AUGUST 2011

    :help:

    Regards,

    Ankit

  4. My question is while sending DS230 did you send birth certificate, marriage certificate and police clearance certificate originals?

Yes you have to send all the original documents with photocopy of each.

If certified copies where did you certified your copies?

    From any local registered notary/lawyer.

    Regards

  5. Yes, you BOTH will fill out i-864.

So there is no need for any i864A

I am in the same boat as you.

I hope we both will sail away

Yes, Your I-864 will have you and the intending immigrant= 2.

Dad's I-864 will have, himself, Mom, Both Dependants and the intending immigrant= 5

Make sure when you fill out Dad's I-864 you check the box, I am the ONLY joint sponsor.

    Again Thanks a lot.

I'll be filing both mine and my dad's i864 tomorrow. :)

    Edit: yes I'm Indian :)

  6. Do you live with your parents?

    yes

    Is it their home?

    yes

Do your parents claim you as a dependent on their taxes?

    yes

Using both Mom and Dad's tax info or just Dad's or just Mom's?

    ?

Do they file a joint return?

    yes

If the answer is yes to any of these, you will need to do two, I-864's. NOT I-864A!

So I fill i864 and my father also fill i864 ?

So, On your return if I got your household correctly. You should have two people. Yourself and the intending immigrant you are sponsoring.

Even if that doesnt meet the required income ?

On your Dad's, Himself, your mother (spouse), you (any siblings or whoever he claims on his return) and the intending immigrant.

My dad is filing tax jointly with my mother and have 2 dependents including me.

So if he also has to fill i864 and not i864A He will have 5 members in his household including the intending immigrant. Am I right ?

Thanks so much Dave and Kinnari.

  7. I have filled i864 but my income doesn't meet the requirement so my father who lives in the same household will be the co/joint-sponsor filling i864A

but problem is that my father has 2 dependent and filing tax jointly with my mother.

So the question from form i864 pg # 3

    Part 5. Sponsor's household size

    question 21 Your Household Size

    g. OPTIONAL: If you have siblings, parents, or adult children with

the same principal residence who are combining their income

with yours by submitting Form I-864A, enter the number here.

How many numbers should i put in ?

One because I have only one joint sponsor who is my father ?

Or Three because the joint sponsor (my father) has 2 Dependant ?

Or four because he's filing tax jointly with my mother and coz of 2 Dependant ?

    Thanks
