  1. hi guys!! exactly one week after my interview i already have my visa with me :) praise to God!

my visa will expire on march 7.. BUT since we are still waiting for my son's sputum culture.. and since his sputum smear are all positive, im scared he might be left behind..

does anybody here knows how long it takes to deliver the greencard? so worst case scenario that my son needs to stay for medication, i can go back as soon as i got my greencard :)

plus, our port of entry was supposedly hawaii, but my husband changed plans of staying in california... is it okay to go straight to california or would it cause a big trouble for us?

thank you so much vj members :)

how do you know that your port of entry is in hawaii my date sheet has no endicate my port of entry...

  2. Hi everyone, my fiancee has her interview by 29, i was wondering if the storm last this long and for example manila is under signal number 2 or 3 will they cancel her interview?

MANILA, Philippines -- The United States Embassy in Manila will remain closed Wednesday after it was hit by a storm surge from typhoon "Pedring."

In a statement, the embassy said it will open on Thursday and American citizens in need of emergency may call the embassy switchboard at 301-2000 for any assistance any time.

"Non-Immigrant and Immigrant Visa appointments for these two dates will be re-scheduled for a proximate date. The embassy's call center will contact all affected clients. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the storm," the embassy said.

  3. Hello,

We had planned to have my fiancee do her medical on the 19th and 20th. I am not able to be there with Sarah for the medical nor interview so Sarah has her aunt for support. Sarah had already gone to the first day of her medical. She has gone to her second day today but St Lukes had sent her home. Sarah has told me everything had checked out fine except for her X-rays. They told her she had some phlegm on the X-rays. I hate this long distance when I am talking to Sarah because I don't hear everything clearly. St Lukes has scheduled her to come back for the sputum test on Oct 3,4, and 5. Why???? I want to call St Lukes but I want to get some input from the members first! MY PATIENCE IS WEARING THIN. Anyways my questions are:

    * Do you think there is a concern considering her physical and blood tests checked out fine?

    * There is not a spot of tb is from what I am told by Sarah so why the sputum test?

    * Why do they schedule the sputum test so far out like two weeks?

    * Do you think I can call to schedule a closer date for the sputum test?

    * Or please advise on my situation....

    THANK YOU

if sarah has need a sputum you have to wait for 2 months after the result..

  4. Hello to all of you,

Once again I'm here to ask a question. My son was born here in the Philippines, but he already got his CRBA and passport. Now my fiance wants to know if he can claim him on his tax return even if our son is living with me outside US or my son needs to be there before he can claim him. Hopefully there are someone who can give us good advice. Thanks and more power to all of the member of VJ. God Bless us all.

nop he cant get a tax return if the child is out of the country its in the law...

  5. For my situation, yes, I am certain. I'm the petitioner filing CR1 spouse. Our case was completed at NVC on August 16 and NVC was also telling me the same thing they're telling you. After conducting some research here on VJ under Embassy Info, I called the USEM Manila directly at (214) 571-1600 (as I'm in the USA). USEM emailed us interview confirmation letter right after my call.

According to the rep at US Embassy Manila, they have available slots for August, September and October and I opted for late September interview. I could have chosen an earlier date. However, this gives my husband time to finish up whats needed prior to his USA trip. Plus I plan on being with him for the interview.

Hi did you tell to the rep. that you are in cr1 visa not in k1 i think k1 visa is the one who pick any dates for their interview and the cr1 nvc is the one who pick for our date.

BUT if its true that the embassy said that we can choose our date for the interview how?did you try to sched?

  6. Hi there ! Yes, I'm planning to set my interview this coming October. So you mean the embassy is not accepting yet for Oct ? How did you know ? please post me an update then. Honestly, I'm really not so well knowledgeable on the whole visa process. Still trying to learn out here from this wonderful and great site. I'm happy to see VJ members helping / sharing each other. It helps me to build confidence in doing our paper works. Thank you to all ! :) God bless (F)
