The only benefits is they are going to be closer to you, the bad part is you will be paying a lot of money for them in case if they got sick plus food clothing.....

Employees does not provide insurance for parent under my insurance. @MerryTouth to response to your question, if she had a major accident she will fall under emergency medicaid, and she will not pay either the sponsor. also i do check up for her each year in case something show up that is ill we will have enough time to send home for treatment.

Insurance is a crazy topics, they wanted for my mother $750 a month that's $9000 a year, so i decided to not get her insurance, and yes i do claim her on my taxes, she does not work. I do take her to doctor twice a year for check up, and they give her medicaid discount because she not working so far i paid each year for her medical and medication around $560 a year. and on taxes there is no penalties because the insurance is not affordable and she is not eligible for medicaid.

It's legal there is no abuse, i believe your need to educate yourself on immigration laws, go to USCIS.gov and check it, it will tells you that you can file application for your spouse children under 21 years same day you become a law permanent resident, and YES this is totally right WE ARE NOT ILLEGALS we are people try to be with thier family as soon as possible, another thing you should KNOW, the embassy told my mother you can use the visa on her passport as a proof of residency, and if you look in VISA you will in the bottom stating that UP ON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCE OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE for 1 YEAR, and they told her (the Embassy) to not wait for the plastic card and she can file immediately. I have been here for over 10 years paid my taxes, and never used welfare, no food stamps no health insurance, i always paid for everything, and i think i deserve to have my family with me. USCIS and NVC are known to return incomplete document, so if what we have done was not right or abuse i am sure it petition will be sent back, we followed everything by the book, we completed all documents correctly and truthfully, and also the whole process took from start to began about 3 years.
if you want talk about abuse, you need to mention why NVC takes almost a year an half to get visa available, why it takes them 60 days to review documents, we paid for the fees it not our problem if they can't handle it. we do everything what they said. if you want talk about abuse, talk about the high fees we pay to bring our loved one. and i am sure you are in this website to seek help and guidance how to successful get your loved one to US, i am sure your have a wife or a husband or kids you are trying to bring them because you status shows that you are F2A. for me it's not abuse, it ignorance that people did not know that they can file for their kids first day they become LPR, yes its true did not pay dime when they file taxes, remember most new immigrant they never paid a dime. good luck bring your family

My brother was able to pick up his visa today, trip to US within three days :-), also i paid $165 fee

This is what you need to do, write a letter stating that in 2015 he did not have income and based on irs requirement he is not required to file taxes. Make sure to notorize it.
This is what Happened with my brother my mother is the primary sponsor and I am the join the sponsor she did not have a job in 2015. And at the day or the interview they have him 221G requesting reason for not filing taxes, next day I wrote a letter took my mother to notorize it, we scanned it and send it to my brother and he took it to the embassy after a week visa has been issued.

My brother's visa was issues this afternoon good luck everyone

My brother's Visa has been issued today.

Everything was good but he is on AP, they requested him to provide certificate of celibacy stating he was not married, and since my mother is the petitioner and she does not work, they requested her to write a letter stating the reason why she did not file taxes, which is of course because she has no income and based on IRS guidelines you are required to file taxes if you make at least $10,500 a year. we provided the information we are waiting for them to Issue a visa

since no one shared their experience, i will share my brother's experience for other. i will give a little insight, i applied for my mother to get green card, she was approved, and travel to US, the first day she landed we filed for my brother through her.
here is the interview questions he was asked.
what is your name and how old are you
who is Mrs......(my mother)
and who is Mr... (me the bother)
what does your mother do? (answer was unemployed)
than he was giving 221G to submit paper state why my mother did not file taxes, and also they asked him to provide document that he single.
-
Yes, I knew that we had to pay $165, my original question was if he needs to pay interview fee at the embassy but he didn't . He has his interview this morning
-
My brother had his interview this morning and he is now on administrative processing they told him that he needs to bring certificate of celibacy (stating he is single and never been married) also a letter that state why mother did not file taxes.
