    hi, holly sent me question. no, rahul didn't need anymore vaccinations after he arrived in US. he didn't get everything in india either, but dr wrote not necessary.

    driving? hehehehe :P..he has his permit now, yay! he drove in india but we have so many rules that he's still learning...also he told me, "how can u drive so straight all the time?" i guess they don't drive in the lines in india.

    we get married on this saturday..yay!! so excited but its so much work! rahul is getting tired of not working too and has been trying to find volunteer work to do. we just found out that we need to send a certified copy of our marriage certificate which could add another month wait to send in the next batch of paperwork..urrghh...hope u hear back soon about dipu...bureaucracy sucks ...

    My honey got his passport with visa in it today on 22nd..whoo-hoo!!!! now to planning the wedding....AT LAST!!!!!! so happy!!!!!

      congrats... and thank you so much for your encouraging email! I cant tell you how hopeless I felt.. and I think my eyes are still puffy from crying.. but i put a call in to senator and will be faxing over info and they said they will look and see if its possible to help.. not a promise but its something!! Did you call the embassy and try to appeal to their humanity? I was thinking to try? Thank you so much.. I will keep you posted

      yes, we tried calling the embassy. and emailing their american citizen services. they honestly aren't much help. we started calling them after rahul's visa was approved but not showing up at VFS - they will give you the run around and just send you to a line that never picks up..extremely frustrating....

I sent 11 page fax to my senator today and am going to email president (well on the website anyhow) and my fiance is also going to do it. and we will email NVC and Uscis... can you think of anything I missed? do you think I should forget abt contacting the embassy ? or at least email vfs all the additional steps I am taking so the embassy will know ? is that what you did.. feel free to email..       btw, we brought at least 1000-2000 docs with tons of affidavits...none of it was looked at!

    On 7/23 my honey got his passort back with a letter stating we have been given a walkin appt..whoo-hoo!!! gonna start preparing to leave for india within the week :-))))

    Update - On 7/20 VFS sent email that said to turn in passport to VFS per Delhi Embassy. Quite strange since you usually keep your passport for the interview. VFS people thought he was being approved for the visa without a 2nd interview. We shall see...Keep praying for us! Thanks :-))

    Call NVC today, they received our petition and are sending it back to New Delhi for 2nd interview today...WHOO-HOO!!!!

    So after Senator inquired on our behald Delhi decided to recall our petition back from NVC

      Petition expires in 10 days so we started to worry. Called NVC and they had no knowledge of recall. They flagged our case and said to call back at end of week. They also said as long as our case is pending the petition will automatically be renewed..Yay!!

    Hi, yeah we thought of that. calling senator's office today to work on getting extension on our petition which expires in 9 days..eeks! vfs helpdesk has been no help in that, so its a new worry now.

    Hi, I'm writing for more info on how you guys got re-approved. we are stuck at AP at Delhi embassy. I did send email to VFS asking them to extend petition but no word yet. What type of evidence did you turn in the 2nd time to get it approved? We didn't turn in any affidavits, just 100 emails, chats, skype webcam cahts, 5-6 months of phone bills, photos, and wedding planning/receipts. th...

    hi, i just read ur timeline..our packet 3 was never received in new delhi too. he had to go online to get docs..his packet 4 he received by email.
