Thank you very much or the answers! They were very useful. I will use the I-864EZ.
Thanks again!!!
Don't count yourself twice I remember that from when we did it

My husband and I are filling the form I-864 (Affidavit of support) and we are confused about Part 5. (Sponsor's household size)
This part counts the number of people my husband is financially responsible for. Which is me (his wife) and him.
They ask to put numbers next to the different categories and add them at the end. But they ask for "persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit" (1 = me) And then "persons not sponsored in this affidavit" (1 = him) but there is a section under this same part that says "if you are currently married, enter 1 for your spouse" (1 = me) But that will give as 3 people at the end because we are counting me twice!
What is the correct way of filling this part of the form.
Thanks!!

Thank! that was very useful! I will use it for sure
Look at the info halfway down this page. No need to pay someone to do it if you or a friend/family member are proficient in both English and Spanish: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=ff053d146a7ee010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD
Just need to attach that little "certification statement" by whomever writes the translation. For our case, I (the USC) did them myself.

Muchas gracias!!
Well, you may have to use a translator here in EEUU. We had all our documents translated in Lima. It was very economical and perfect. Very cheap!!!! You will need a translation but I don't know about prices here.
Buena suerte!!!

I'm from Peru too!
I'm actually going to apply for adjustment of status. I'm inside the US and I need to file my birth certificate along with all the forms and more documents. But my birth certificate is in Castellano (from Peru) so I don't know what's the best way to translate it. Should I just go to a professional translator here in the US?

You will apply for an IR1/CR1 visa or a K1??? I will tell you about IR1/CR1..... Have your birth certificate, Marriage certificate and if your name changes due to marriage, then your new DNI. This is what we did for the CR1 visa. This is necessary because USCIS needs these documents translated; however, NVC does not require it as long as (in the case of Peru) the original documents are in Castellano. Note that it is a step by step process and USCIS requires a translation into english. I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Magnus

Thank you very much for the information! I'll check all the guides now that all is clear.
no, you file both concurrently.
what you don't need is the i129f for the K3 visa you will file the AOS packet. there are many more forms than these 2. check the guides.

that means that I just fill the i485 and not the i130?
no, the K3 is a visa to come to the US. after that you still have to do the adjustment of status, but you are already here, so the K3 doesn't apply. you will directly go through the AOS process.
the i485 is for adjustment of status.

I got married in US in May. Returned o my country. Came back to the US in November with a tourist visa and now I want to apply for the green card.
I'm filling the forms i-130 and i-485. I thought it was for the K3 visa.
These are the steps I'm following:

I'm confused :s
it's confusing. did you come to the US on a K3 visa? if not and you entered on a tourist visa, you don't qualify for a K3. the K3 is to come to the US, you are already here.

p.s. I'm currently in the US as a tourist
I'm married to a US citizen. We are applying for a K3 Visa.
Do we have to send the forms i-130 and i-485 together? or the i-130 first and wait for our Alien number to send the I-485?
Thanks!!

Thanks!!
I believe so and also, it's good to get notoriety at a Bank (Signed by the family member(s) and the bank official who has the certification to notorize documents.
"An affidavit from a close relative, preferably the applicant’s mother, stating the date and place of birth, both parents names, and the mother’s maiden name."
