So my fiancee is in a not so good, or safe situation. And because he is a refugee life is not easy. He cant work and I am supporting him from the states and the dumb WU fees are killing me. Due to his confusing situation and my not so familiar situation of petitioning to bring someone to the states, I hired a lawyer to assist me. This lawyer mentioned something about expediting his case but I never thought twice about it. Now that our situation seems to get more stressful and he is constantly running into problems where he is, I sent her a little email and boom, she sent a letter to the USCIS to try and get an expedition. TO be honest, at this point in time I would rather get the expedition for Ankara rather than at this stage. Is this possible? Expediting a visa application at the consulate level? NO matter what I will be grateful either way.

Just wanted to know if there are any other people out there who are engaged to refugee's like myself? It makes me really nervous because he has no stable address for the past three years. If anyone else out there is going through the same situation or has gone through the same situation and has some pointers/inspiration, I would be extremely grateful for you words of wisdom or encouragement!

I am worried that this is going to happen to me and my fiance's petition. I fear going through the AP process. Does that just mean extra background checks or is there more to that? Does anyone know how much extra time it takes when the petition goes through AP?

After some hard months of long distance relationship-I recieved an email and text, my I129F has been APPROVED, by God's grace and mercy. I am filled with joy and gratitude. Now I need to start putting together all the forms for the actual visa. PRAISE GOD!!!!
