    Eduardo and I met while I was serving in Guatemala with the Peace Corps. I was assigned to the community where he lives. He drives a taxi after his day job and I hopped in one day. After a little small talk he asked me if I could teach him some English. I said yes. One of a couple important Yeses I would say to him :)

    I called DOS today and Good News! Our papers arrived in Guatemala Yesterday. Hopefully just a few more days of processing and Eduardo can call and set up his interview!

      Oh, and he will get a letter with the interview date, he will not have to call to "set it up", but it's always a good idea to call to let them know that he is "pendiente" of his case.

      Thanks for the good vibes! I'm hoping real hard for that November date! And good to know about the letter... Eduardo lives 2.5 hours away from the capital so I told him to call, just in case, to make sure however they send it through the mail, that it actually ARRIVES in Solola. The Guatemalan mail system is far from reliable...
