there are many community colleges in your area. have you applied for a teaching contract with any of them, one semester in length? if not, you should.

i just want to get advice from u ,so let me explain,i have a masters degree in physics from my country, and i wanted to continue my studies up here in the us and i just cant decide what to do or how to do it...some told me to start over new ..but i dont want to waste all the years that ive spent studying back home, i wonder if there is any possibility to get a equivalence for my masters so i can work with it here or at least continue my phd here, without having to start over new..

well, for the ssn he have to apply for it...go to the nearest location and apply , u will then receive it within 2 to 3 weeks,but concerning the Green card im not sure how long is it gonna take since its different for each case...i have been in the us for 4 months now and no green card yet...i have my id and ssn but no green card yet ..last month i had to re do the biometrics and still waiting for my green card

yes u can, i did get a SSN and my ID a week after i arrived to chicago..and still didnt get a Green card yet..

i entered chicago on the 27 th of august they took my picture and my fingerprints, and i came home waiting for my welcome letter and green card, i already have my ssn and my id, and last week we received a letter from USCIS telling me that they accepted my request and they are scheduling me for biometrics, which is weird, what does this mean>?? why are they scheduling me for biometrics if they already took my fingerprints and pic, is there anything wrong?

I am really disappointed by this response. Can one be anymore obtuse or insensitive? Aside from the fact that none of us are perfect, including you, have you even considered the type of sadness and stress that this person is going through being in a new country, pregnant, armed with vague medical information about chemicals pumped into the body? Please be supportive or just keep your comments to yourself. The fact that this was even shared on this forum, although I agree with the other posts that she should seek professional advice now that she is here, is a testament to her trust in the collective wisdom of us as a group AND her real, valid fear humbles me and makes me sad at the same time. I hope you aren't give such harsh judgment when it is your turn to have a crisis.

thank u a lot for all ur responses..i dont wanna loose this baby, but still i want a healthy child...i know that some healthy ppl get babies with complications, but its just i dont want me to be the reason for my baby to be born with some health issues...

i talked with my husband about this whole thing, and he is supporting me no matter what..but he said we have to go get me examinated before any decision..and maybe we can call the doctor who gave us the vaccins back in morocco and ask her what should we do...

anyway, im so happy to be pregnant if it wasnt this 'condition'

yes i did the test twice it came up positive, now the main concern is about the vaccins i took or the embassy made me took before i came up here,the doctor told me i dont have to get pregnant till three months have passed, and im only on my second month yet since the vaccin,im really worried, so im planing an abortion , im only pregnant for less then 4 weeks, any advice??i really dont want to have a baby with some medical complications,otherwise i would have kept the baby

i've been in the us for a month now and i havent receive any from the uscis..

my husband took me to get me a social security card which i received after 10 days, and then he took me to get me an ID which i got the same hour, so now i have a social security number and an id but havent received the famous 'welcome letter' or the green card...

yesterday checking the mail i found a notice of action 'which is weird'

the notice type : receipt notice fee previously collected

anyone who has being through the same as me can plz inform me for what to do? thanks a lot
