      Awesome news!!!! I had a feeling today would turn up something new. I had thought of it earlier this morning while I was getting ready for work and said let me try to wait it out. I am very happy for you. I will certainly call tomorrow when they open. Thanks for the heads up!

    Now waiting for NVC to receive our petition in order to get our SDO number...is it safe to assume that if nothing goes wrong, that it will take a month for me to get a date in sdo?

      Every time I had checked the SDO website in the past, there were two months of appointments posted concurrently. Not sure why September isnt posted....

      Maybe not always the rule. I just looked at this link and there is no posting for September. Last scheduled appt is in august. So dont know what that 'gap' is about..... PM me if you have any questions. http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/scheduled_appointments.html

      With that in mind, the schedule seems to always be posted with a skipped month in there. So the schedule that gets released doesnt offers appts for 2 or 3 weeks from today.... unfortunately :) More like appts for 6 weeks out at the earliest if I recall since it comes out around 15th and has the appts for the month not yet posted. (In other words, if a new schedule came today the 16th of August, the appts would announce October.

      That is just what I observed. Maybe not always the rule. I ...

      I did a lot of reading and scouring of the dates. PM me if you want to discuss it further. The gist of what I found is: Folks appear to have it correct when they said that the SDO appointments are released around the middle of the month. People need to have at least one months notice to prepare and make arrangements for medicals, mailing of packets 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7, final paperwork collection, etc.. LOL

      With that in mind, the schedule seems to always be posted with a skipped month in ...

    i figured I'm going to focus on spending time with my loved ones, since im the beneficiary, it hit me last night that i'll be leaving this life behind to start a new one, friends, family. going to miss them all. but ready to spend the rest of my life with you john, since 07, we've been strong enough to keep this alive and going, this is how you know you belong together.
