    Started dating in Dec 2010. I flew to Macedonia in March 2011 and we married on April 2, 2011. Started the Immigration process by filing the I-130 on May 5.

    Apparently, we just need Igor's green card in order for him to start working. He's been looking for a job but nothing good so far. I was told that the green card is considered a work permit. The letter from social security clearly states that he can legally work here but needs the green card. Any info or advice? Is the wrong info? Thanks

      He needs either the EAD or GC to be able to work.

      He didn't come on a K1 visa but on a IR1/CR1! So yeah, wrong info, he can work as soon as he enters into the US. The visa + stamp in his passport act as temporary green card.
