Hi Everyone,

I'm the frenchie in the couple, we got married in San Diego about a month ago and started to fill out the papers for an i-130.

I'm getting worried because I've started to get my documents ready for the next step after the approval of the i-130, including my birth certificate.

I didn't know but birth certificates in France also include what happened after you were born, like your marriage. My issue is that my marriage has not been recognized in France yet (it's in process and can take up to 4 months), so there is no sign of me being married on my birth certificate.

Do you think/know if that could be a problem for the next step?? I really hope I'm not gonna have to wait an extra 4 months, just so I can send an updated birth certificate...

I was hoping that they would just care about the information about my birth.
