  1. Shawnda just make sure that you take lots of pictures with family and friends. Also, start a paper trial of phone records, and emails very important. Make sure your husband is well prepared that is the key, and have lot and lots of proof! Your husband should get through it with know problems. One more thing, when you get married make sure you marry at a Federal registry.

    Best wishes! :)

  2. My husband was approved for his visa. Your journey has just begun, and if you follow these steps. Everything should be ok. The key is being prepared way in advance. Do not let him walk in there with nothing; he will come out of there with nothing. Make sure you need to print out phone records along with your phone bill records. He needs to have wedding pictures with friends and family members in them. Also, you need to have emails of yours and his print out and bounded. Everything should be NEAT and in order. Print out everything you get from UCIS and NVC and have him print out and put in a binder. The Key is paper trail and pictures you want to prove that this is a bon a fide relationship. Before, he gets his interview date you should rehearse and ask him question that you think they might ask. For example, how do you communicate? Who petition for you? These are standard questions. If you start now with your paper trail you should have a successful interview.

    Best wishes! :)

  3. Thank you for the comments! Yes, I have a tracking number, but it keeps telling me Origin Preparing Shipment. My husband went to his Post office in Nigeria, and they said it is in California he saw it. So, I guess i have to take some patience on my part. However, the computer should say were it is at. Thanks again for the help.

  4. I have waited almost a couple of weeks now that my case has been transferred to the US Consulate in Nigeria. We still have not heard a word since then regarding a date for the interview. I am beginning to get anxious. Is it possible something happened? I emailed the US Consulate a couple of weeks ago, and I still have not heard anything back. Can someone let me know their experience after the case was approved at the NVC, how long it took to get to the embassy, what they had to do during this period, and how soon they got a scheduled date. This wait can be killing. Please help!
