Just had an interview yesterday at NYC office (Federal Plaza).

Went in at around 1:00 for 1:45 appointment, and we were called at 2:30....

The officer asked us so many questions (sometimes so much in details), but she was overall very friendly and nice.

We were done little after 3. The officer wrote something on my passport and took I-94 away.

Within an hour/hour and a half of finishing the interview, we received Case Status Update email saying that

the card is in production (for I-485)!!!!!

I checked the case status online as well, but the last updates for I-130 still shows May.

Is it OK? Everyone who already got the card, did the case status of I-130 get updated after interview?

Mine is for the copmpletely different location.The adress is on the left lower corner of the hardcopy of the notice.

Case status update...FINALLY! Just received an email that USCIS has sent an appointment notice

for an interview on Aug.15th!!!! It's been more than a month since biometrics was done.

My I130 has not been touched since May, but I got an appointment for I485, is this normal?

UPDATE! I got my EAD/AP card today in mail!! USCIS sent it by priority mail..... The card says it was issued on 5/24, and the letter that came with the card says "DATE 6/4/2011". My online case status says that it was approved on 6/6/2011....so weird. Anyways, for those who saw your online status "approved", you'll get your card soon!!!!

I keep getting weird notifications.. On July 1st, we approved your EAD then ordered card production. Then on July 6th, it was card production again, and today it went back to "We have approved this petition" LoL.. Is this normal I mean when do you think they sent it, last week or just today?

My status was like that too... it was at "card production" but went back to "we've approved".

For AP, they said (on the status online), that they have mailed a notice on 5/24, but I haven't received anything yet.

It's been already 2 weeks....I started to worry if they made any mistakes on my address or something.

Have you received any notice for AP or EAD?

Just checked my status online.... it said that they've mailed the notice that my I-131 application has been approved. It is usually like this? I thought nothing would happen till the biometrics was done, so it was a bit surprising to me.

Everything else (I-130, 765, and 485) is still at initial review. Hope things will go forward now that i've done biometrics....

Went for biometrics at Varick street office today!! (I didn't do walk-in)

Got there about 30 minutes before my appointment time, but they didn't say anything.

It was very fast!!!! In and out, total of 10 minutes or maybe less.

I don't know much about that local office but I would say try only if its not that far from you guys. It can't hurt to try, though I'm not sure how much doing a walk-in really helps in terms of speeding up the process. The reason we did a walk-in was because I was pretty confident they would let us since my hubby had military training the week of my supposed biometrics, so we had an excuse. Thankfully, they just let us in without even asking

Thank you for your advice! The office is fairly close from where I live, so I might try.... I am still not sure if I should or not.

For the walk-in, did you use Infopass?

Today I got biometrics letter (appointment date 5/31) at New York office (W. Houston).

Does anybody know if the walk-in at that office is allowed? If it is, should I walk-in? or call to reschedule first?

Got I-797C(NOA) hard copy for all I-130/485/765/131 on 5/7/2011!

I checked my bank account and saw that checks were cashed on 5/3.

So far,

04/25/2011: I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 sent

04/27/2011: Delivered

05/03/2011: Received texts/emails

05/03/2011: Check cashed

Oh my!!!! Just received text/emails for I-130/485/765/131!!!!!!

I sent out mine on 4/25, and it was delivered on 4/27. I haven't heard anything yet.....
